Terrible control system
When it works it’s great. I bought 2 matching and they are a little pricey which I didn’t mind. The problem is at that price it should work. The remotes worked sometimes. It shuts off and starts on its own for no reason. I traded out the remote system for a generic system and that one works great. The only way the other one works is through the app and that’s 50/50. Now the app says it’s on when it isn’t and works about 20% of the time. It’s just fancy decoration right now so worthless until I redo the remote system with a different brand.

Excellent customer service, along with a great fan... you can't do better.
Our well-used old Fanimation fan served us well, since we heat with wood, and it is really what spreads the heat around from the woodstove to the house from the vaulted ceiling. The receiver died in the old fan, and I contacted Fanimation, trying to locate a receiver. It's no longer available, but I was told to pick out whatever fan I wanted from their online catalog to replace it under their lifetime warranty... I did, and it arrived a few days later, requiring only a few pictures and information from the old fan. The new Spitfire DC 72" is now spreading out our woodstove heat in the family room. It looks very nice, uses very little power, the LED light is bright and adjustable, it's totally silent with no "wiggles" [perfectly balanced out of the box], and it moves a lot of air with full variable speed control via remote or your phone... but the most impressive thing was actually finding a company that stands behind their extremely well made product and provides excellent customer service, either of which are almost impossible to find in today's marketplace. Put installing it was also pleasurable, because then you get to see that every component they use is of high quality, well engineered, and finished well. Well done Fanimation!
