Woodland Scenics JP5702 Just Plug(TM) Lighting System, Expansion Hub

Love this system. Many options available. Really makes my layout come alive.

These little boxes are very basic but very easy to use. Snap the light connectors to this and snap a single connector wire between this and the power module and you are up and running. Personally I wish these would just allow 10 connections at least. These are low voltage and a train layout requires a lot of these. Ive been splicing wires which really defeats the purpose of easy connectors. Still i like them and recommend them for ease of use

I have started scenicing my rail road, and have chosen the add some of the Woodland Scenics built up buildings and lighting. I am using the built up structures because I want to spend my time running trains and not building structures. Their Just plug system for wiring fits into this plan: everything plugs together easily. Easy expansion as the number of structures expands. I had six buildings lighted in about 15 minutes. I like this system.

I have used the Woodland Scenics Just Plug lighting system on my model railroad for several years. It is easy to use, safe, reliable and expandable. In addition to that, they keep adding new items and controlling capabilities, so it is ever-developing. My only wish is that they would make some of the fixtures in s scale, but I use the HO fixtures very successfully for my s scale buildings.

I have a Woodland Scenics Power Supply feeding the Expansion Hub. The Expansion Hub feeds the Lighting Hub and a 16V lighted clock on a G Scale Pola building. The Lighting Hub feeds four warm white LED lights inside the building. I was able to use a conventional pin header soldered to the clock's power leads to act as a plug into the socket on the end of the Woodland Scenics interconnection cable. I used an extension cable to exit the building; the power supply plugs into it. I could also cut an end off of an interconnection cable and use it to feed from the track power pack. All in all it's a clean, convenient and not too expensive solution to a variety of power distribution and lightning control problems.

Works as advertised….perfectly!! Very easy to install and perform the connections, just what you’d expect from Woodlandscenics.

Product is good plug and play unit

I had earlier bought the starter hub and two lights to try out and MAN what a DIFFERENCE did it make for my layout. I had to add more to enhance the whole effect. The expansion hub with a second hub made my layout almost come alive. If you are building a Model Train layout this Just Plug system is an absolute must to have. It is simple, requires very few tools and adds a sense of realism to any layout. What makes it even more great It COST less than buying the lights, wire and circuits without getting an Electrical degree.

They all go together very easily. Can be plugged in and extension leads bought if wires are not long enough. I have not had any problems with these in the last five years so will continue to buy them.

Don’t hesitate, these are the best. Whole system designed by enthusiasts who know their target audience. Simple and they work.
