Joy of Health Hydrolyzed Pure Marine Collagen Peptide Powder for Skin, Hair, Nails, & Bones 7.1 oz.

So far this product is amazing. I've been using it for about 3 months-- 2 scoops per day--1 in morning and 1 at night. My nails have NEVER been this strong and long in my ENTIRE life! I can't believe it. My hair grows fast too. Disclosure- my hair has always grown relatively fast but it seems to grow even faster and healthier now. My skin? Unfortunately no noticeable differences YET, but I am hopeful that over time this will help my skin too. That's the reason I bought this in the first place was to increase collagen in my face, in particular. We'll see....I'm giving it another 3 containers for now.

Note: I'm the wife on this account. I bought this because it was cheaper than Veda, the brand I usually order. I've used it for almost a week now, mixing it in coffee and tea, morning and night. The big differences: It's a much finer powder, almost too fine because it gets everywhere. Secondly, it takes a while to dissolve. I have to stir for a few solid minutes to break down all the globs. Third and most annoying, I can taste it. It's not super strong but it's just enough to dampen the enjoyment of my drink. I'm not sure it's worth the trouble. Unless I see a huge change in how I feel/look, I probably won't buy again.

I was a bit skeptical at first but a friend suggested trying this and her skin is positively glowing. I've been using it for about a week. I dissolve it in a bit of cold water and drink it with orange juice. It has a slight fishy smell when I dissolve it in water but once you add the juice, there's no smell and it just tastes like juice, which is a relief.After a week I've noticed an improvement in my skin texture as it's generally a bit rough but it has really softened up a lot. Also, my hair has gone incredibly soft and the skin around my eyes looks noticeably less haggard. I'll post another review once I finish the jar and let you know how it goes. So far, so good!

At 70 years old, I found the skin on my arms and legs to be so dry and fragile, that it felt like it would tear open just from running my hand across it. My skin was like tissue paper and would tear open into a large wound with the slightest scratch. I also had a lot of spontaneous bruising or "purpuras," and deep bruising with the slightest bump. My doctor told me there was nothing that could be done about any of these conditions as they are typical with aging. I started taking another brand of collagen about a year ago. It was so expensive, I started buying this brand about four months ago and haven't looked back. My skin is waaaaaay less dry, stronger, smoother and I have very little bruising - only after a serious bump into something. My skin hasn't torn open in months. I was taking one scoop in the morning with my coffee, but within the past few weeks I read that the directions say for optimum results to take two scoops if you are over 40. Not sure how I missed that, but I now use two scoops in my coffee in the morning and I am hoping for even better results. I notice no taste whatsoever, it dissolves in hot liquid immediately. My nails which were never any good are much stronger and harder and my hair grows faster than I want it to. I am on and off with many different supplements, but this collagen is one thing I will never be without. I LOVE IT!

This product dissolves easily, and there's no weird taste (of course it taste like collagen when you drink it just with water).I bought this because of the quality (marine collagen is better than beef or pork collagen), and the price is not ridiculously high (like Vital...).I have a question though: why is it specify that we should not drink it with food or other protein? I wanted to use it in shakes (with banana and kefir milk), but now i'm concerned and stick to only drinking it with plain water on a empty stomach, but it a lot less fun :(

I was excited to try this brand & used the whole container. During this period, my skin turned dry and ashy. I did not correlate that to this product (at first) because its winter. One week in, I started drinking more water thinking I was dehydrated. It continued. Went to the doc, who stated it looked like extremely dry skin & gave me a cream to use for a week. So odd, as I havent had this problem before. I continued using the product, and since I am over 40, increased the dose as recommended hoping it would help. Nope. Three weeks in my hair, skin, and nails were looking worse & becoming itchy. Went back to the doctor who stated again, it looked like super dry, dehydrated skin & gave me more cream. I still hadnt looked to product as cause, rather bought & took it with vitamin C first thing in the morming & vitamin E at night with hopeful purpose of slowing the sign of aging.Well, lo & behold, I finished the can & bought a similar product but different brand. Literally, in one week, all my issues started to go away. Dry skin started feeling moisturized again, hair started to look better, nails started to grow in healthier, and my skin started to glow by week two. I dont know why this product didnt work for me & seemingly made things worse the whole period I used it.

This will definitely be a staple product for me. I've tried other marine collagen powders and this one by far is the best. It is tasteless, it dissolves good (you may have to let it set for a minute), my skin is more lubricated, and I receive a boost of energy after drinking it. I think it is worth a try!!

I wanted this to work but I had a difficult time with the product. One, it does not dissolve very well even when using warm water. Two, the smell is pretty bad. If you can get it to dissolve you definitely should mix it with juice before drinking. I only used it for about 2 weeks so didn't see any results.
