I personally love the smell and the taste of Smoked Hickory. This is a good spice. I would recommend this product. I would buy it again!

This stuff is wonderful. It is so much easier to use than the liquid, and only a pinch is needed unless you like real strong flavor. Go easy on it at first.

I don't think it's much to ask that the expiration date on seasonings be at least one year away. The date on this product that I just received is only 7 months from now. I have no problem finding spices and seasonings in my local stores that don't expire until late 2023 or even 2024. I won't be buying this brand again.

We live in a condo that doesn't allow gas or charcoal grills so we have an electric one. Electric grills don't give that "grill flavor" that we like so we tried this on some cheap steaks. I just rubbed in a generous amount and the result was a hickory flavor that, if anything, was a little too strong. Next time I'll use a little less. It also works great on pork. We probably grill beef and pork 1 - 2 times/week (cooking for just 2 people) and I'm guessing that this package will last us 6 months to a year. If you have an electric grill, this is highly recommended.

Honestly: I've tried so many times in the past to find a really good brand of hickory powder: or rub: or I've even tried using that awful liquid smoke stuff in a bottle. Back in the day: my father cooked his pork over real oak coals: and that taste just can't be reproduced: or fabricated. But: this hickory smoke powder came so darn close: that I've stopped looking for another brand to satisfy my pallid: when it comes to flavoring my meats with a hickory smoke flavor! A little really goes a very long way! Give it a try: and I promise you that you'll give it 2 thumbs up too!

Very strong smoke flavor and a reasonable price. I bought another brand years ago that was a lot cheaper and tasted great but I guess inflation has hit. If it is too strong for your tastes just dilute it. I use salt to make smoked salt but you can use less or mix it with cornstarch or spices. You won't find a better tasting smoke powder.

Nice hickory smell. Added this to my spice mix for some pork chops that I did in a skillet and gave them a faint smoky taste. Didn't go heavy on this - so will require a few trial runs to get the taste I'm looking for.
