Pure/Raw Natural Premium Pure Shea Butter

This shea butter has a higher oleic acid content because it is from Burkina Fasso. So it is more like East African shea butter (Nilotica...sp?).Consistency is creamy and smell is good. There is a bit of plastic smell intermingled with the shea. Probably from the plastic package. But it doesn't smell at all like that once applied. It swells nutty and sweet.There are no bits of shea nut shells either, making this easy to use right from the plastic bag container or for use in making personal hand and body creams.My skin, nails, and hair like it!

In researching shea butter some years ago I found that the nature of shea butter varied from region to region throughout the shea tree region where they trees grow wild. My research revealed that the sweetest smelling, most butter like shea butter came from Burkina Faso, which is why I bought this shea butter. On first opening the bag the shea butter was sweet and creamy, but within hours of exposure to the air, it turned hard and difficult to work with. I don't know why, for sure, but I am sorely disappointed.

Arrived on time, no damage. Nice light scent (not sure how to describe it, maybe nutty?). Out of all the shea butter I've bought, this is by far the best as far a quality. Very smooth when I apply it, and the scent is not bad (some of the other brands I have bought have a "rank" smell). I would definitely purchase again.

I use this Shea Butter for lip balm, salves and soap. I love it. I've purchased Shea Butter from several sources, and this is my favorite. The Shea industry in Burkino Faso is fair trade in concept and is not produce by means of child labor, as it is on Ghana. Great value and excellent quality.

great product!! store in a separate container. Very small amount for each application, very greasy and it works!!
