Holiday: The Best Travel Magazine that Ever Was

Most interesting coffee table book...
I have read in quite some time. The articles are written by some gregarious folks we know and love from the recent past. The photos are engaging and lead you back to a revolutionary time in which so much was changing; both ethereal and corporeal. An absolute joy to pick up. Every time.

Pretty coffee table book
Bought this coffee table book for the fun photos and colors. It’s definitely a conversation piece and everyone loves to look through it!

Nice coffee table book, but wished for better photos and behind-the-scenes
As another reviewer stated, you may enjoy looking at the real magazine instead of buying this expensive book. The resolution of most of the photographs is poor because they were copied from old Holiday magazines vs. printed from file negatives. Apparently, no photo archive exists unless you count those of individual photographers like Slim Aarons, and several of the Aarons photos in this book are available with higher resolution in Aaron's books. Also, the book was skimpy on behind-the-scenes information and photographs. If you want a brand new Holiday without the moldy smell of the old originals, I suppose this will have to do. Otherwise, save your money and go directly to the orignals. Also, the old ads add to the fun.

Love the book, too bad it’s bent.
gorgeous book... but was sent to us in a polymailer - so the spine is bent and damaged in a few spots.
