Molykote DOW 111 Lubricant & Sealant, 5.3 oz. Tube

This grease and I have been partners for over 50 years. The name has changed a few times, but it is still the same great stuff. Short of high pressure axles and drive lines or the like, or high speed spindle bearings ,this stuff seals O-rings and other seals and preserves them for extended periods even under extreme use. Any motion on cylindrical, or square shafts will do nicely too. And, worn fan shafts will be restored to useful service with this grease. My first encounter was a freezer fan that was squalling and I cleaned it up , used this grease on the bushing and it lasted for years. It ability to work in higher and lower temps will also surprise you. Another use that was a godsend, was the O-ring seals in my Goldwing motorcycle air suspension. The rear suspension was always leaking down, new rings, same thing. I globbed some of this grease on them and reinstalled and never had an issue again. Ever have a ratchet drive wrench that is gritty or hard to use? Take it apart, clean it out and pack this on the teeth . Slick as heck for the rest of the life of the tool. You'll find many uses for this stuff especially for anything that you may assemble and disassemble multiple times. Threads never rust, rubber is nourished to retain it's elasticity, I could go on and on.

This is a specialty product designed to mitigate water, and corrosive damage for gaskets and other sensitive seals. I personally have used it to overhaul several aging coffee machines, such as my 1967 La Pavoni, and was amazed at the results at bringing my machine back to life. I also began using it on metal surfaces with contact rubber, such as the base for the classic Euorpiccolo models, as mentioned above and it has stopped any developed of rust in a traditionally vulnerable location. This product has numerous uses beyond what was mentioned and is well worth the money.

Perfect lubricant for potable water situations. Used it on the o-rings and fittings for a pressure washer since the quick disconnect fittings were starting to become harder to insert or remove. Everything is operating smoothly now.

The only brand I use. Pricey but good, thick consistency with staying power.

I have a water purification system that requires filter changeout evert 18 months. The system began to leak after the last changeout and I needed something that was both safe and would allow future changeouts. This stuff was perfect! A little pricey but worth it not to have to spend any more time under the sink!

I use this for my whole-house water filtration system, my hot tub plumbing, and my pool plumbing. It's food safe, and it keeps all of the gaskets and union fittings in great shape. It's easier to work with in a tube rather than a tub, although it's a little more expensive in the tube. 1 tube will last me about 4-5 years of normal seasonal tasks.

I've used this product for over 30 years to lubricate rubber door seals and other rubber automotive components. It works perfectly, the rubber has not deteriorated on a 30 year old car, well worth the money.

If you're looking to grease O-rings this is the best lube you can find. Moen cartridges work better than new when given a few dabs of this grease. Also very effective in sealing water leaks in all manner of mechanical devices, and valves. Hose reel leaks are easily sealed using this thick paste.
