Well Made Bag
I have other CamelBak products usually like the brand. This bag fits within the brand line though not something I would normally expect to see. The bag well made and I love that it's made with 70% repurposed materials. Inside the main body is a padded divider built just for a laptop. There is also room for a few books. I love that there are other pockets on the outside with secure zippers. The zippers are heavy duty and well made. There is also a side pocket for a water bottle. The material this is made of is somewhat water resistant and does okay in the rain. It's not waterproof completely but is fast drying.I think this works well for a college student who doesn't have to tote too many books at once. It's not as roomy as a regular backpack but nice for a day pack when you don't want to carry a lot but roomy enough to carry needed student items. I also like the idea of taking this on my next vacation to use as a day bag while sightseeing. I love that the tote bag converts to a backpack. The straps tuck inside and pull out when needed. It also has room for a water reservoir which isn't included but would be awesome to add on a day of sightseeing. I wouldn't use this for hiking but I love this for taking my laptop back and forth to work. Even if I drop the bag, there is enough padding to protect my laptop.Though the bag is really well made and versatile, I'm not sure I would spend the price in the future. It seems really durable and I know the brand name is awesome but the price does seem a little higher than I would expect. Still, I don't want to drop the rating a star because there are no complaints with the bag.

High quality, very well designed lightweight tote/convert to backpack bag! Many pockets. Durable!
Wow! What a genius, innovated design for this durable bag! As a tote it's lightweight with wide, durable yet flexible handles reinforced at the carrying point. As a backpack it goes on easily, sits well on the shoulders, and is easily adjustable with the excess straps able to be tucked out of side into the bottom of the bag. Smart design! The backpack straps are wide as smooth, same material as the tote handles. What to do with the tote handles when the bag is in backpack mode? Simple: prior to snapping the backpack clasps tuck the handles into the backpack strap pocket and velcro shut. The tote handles are now out of sight and out of the way. The same is done with the backpack straps to keep them tucked away when the bag is in tote mode. Did someone say pockets?! This bag has 6. Three on the outside (one shaped to hold a water bottle) and three on the inside, one is small to hold a set of keys, etc. The zippers are well made and strong with a short colorful corded zipper pull. This is a generously sized tote/backpack. For size reference in the photo, where it's worn as a backpack, the wearer is 5'4" tall. This is a very well made, great design, useful, roomy, durable, excellent backpack/tote. Definitely recommend.

Great for tote. Camelbak quality.
I love my camelbak packs. It's a tote, no a backpack. So don't expect the storage versatility of a backpack. But if you want to carry some big items and aren't worrying about managing small items, it's a good fit.It goes from carrying in the hand to over the back quickly and simply. It's a bit boxy, so I'd be less inclined to carrying odd shaped items, unless I was stacking it like a grocery bag.The shoulder straps probably won't feel to comfortable for long periods of time with heavy items.Speaking of straps, you can tuck away the excess in their sleeves, but I'd also like to see a velcro management solution for them. Same goes for the top handles. So for a tote, it excels. For a backpack, you can use it if you really need to. Bonus if you love that's it renewed materials.

Sturdy and holds a ton of stuff
I love a multifunctional tote bag that is also well made. This Pivot tote is a little bit of an oddball shape - taller than it is wide. That is actually good for my needs - tall, refillable water bottles will fit easily upright. It converts to a backpack style if you don't want it over the shoulder and the straps are well made and nicely stitched. I used this at a small, local horseshow the other day and it was great. Dirt and whatnot just brushed right off the exterior. We carried extra riding gloves, a horse bit that needed repairs, boot polish rags, tissues, mane braiding bands and a comb, a bunch of random small stuff plus water. It's a nice bag and I'll grab it for dog gear on our next roadtrip.

Tote/Backpack!
Love everything about this tote. The color is great, the versatility, and the cool storage. I recently used this on a hike and it kept my water cold in a separate pocket while I store bananas and crackers in another. It was extremely convenient to switch from tote to backpack when I needed to pickup my baby and carry her. Very light weight and just the right amount of room without weighing me down.

Sturdy, Spacious, and Secure
It was a day with unpredictable weather, and my wife and I were on a day trip to Martha's Vineyard. I grab this bag for an additional jacket, my DSLR camera and accessories, and other things that we might need on the trip. This CamelBak Pivot Tote Pack turned out to be the most comfortable tote to tag along. It has a padded compartment for a laptop or tablet. It has zipped side-compartment and the top of the tote can also be securely zipped. The material is sturdy and also weather and rain proof. It can be easily converted into a backpack.I recommend it!

Well made and lightweight
This is constructed well and fits my 16" laptop inside of a folio and it still zips up which is nice because my last two totes couldn't be zipped at the top. The conversion to backpack isn't super intuitive and was a little bit annoying to pack back up into the tote version (which is what I prefer) but it's an option, so that's nice. I do wish there was an extra exterior pocket, the bottle holder doesn't fit most of my (admittedly oversized) water bottles, so I end up throwing them inside the tote. Color is nice without being flashy and it holds up well in light rain.
