Perfect desktop speakers with the right setup!
I was looking for some desktop speakers with a small form factor and these fit the bill for me as far as size, build quality and specs. These are meant to be used with a subwoofer. I think a lot of the bad reviews are from people trying to use them on there own. I was using def tech 800's before I got the primes. I liked them for what they are. Just not great for nearfield. The passive radiators in the 800's sound much better with a little distance. My research led me towards svs prime sats, polk s10's(I have the s15's in surrounds in my home theater and really like them) and q acoustics 3010i. The prime sats with a sub wins hands down. More clarity, accuracy and punch. They also seem to play different genres effortlessly. I couldn't find a weakness in any particular genre at all. I have these sitting on 9 inch stands, playing on my pc through an SMSL m300 mkii dac, connected to a minidsp hd to manage the crossover(100hz sounds best to me) between the prime sats and a def tech supercube 2000. The minidsp hd is then connected to an allo volt+ D amp. I don't think I could ask for anything more. These speakers need some help from other components like a good dac and amp to really shine. The minidsp hd made a big difference as well. You don't want these speakers to attempt playing full range. it will distort for sure. If you already have solid gear and just need great speakers for a piece of the puzzle, these are no-brainers. If you plan on building around these speakers for desktop use, be prepared to spend a decent amount of change on some quality components to get the most out of them. Either way you won't be sorry.Edit:I recently auditioned the Dali Spektor 1 and the PSB P3 speakers along side of these prime satellites. I still think the prime sats are great speakers. If you're using them as a desktop solution and have them toed in at your sweet spot, they're pretty hard to beat. Imaging is spot on where the vocals seem to be coming right out of the monitor, dead center. But compared to the Dali and PSB it has a much more narrow soundstage. Dali actually recommends that you don't toe them in as they're designed to have a wide dispersion. And they're not lying. No matter where I'm at in the room, they sound the same. They are also more forgiving with poor recordings than the prime sats. The PSB has a a wide soundstage as well but not as wide as the Dali. The tonality is where the PSB shine. I would say slightly better than the Dali. The mid bass and high mids sound amazing with the PSB. Its definitely the star of the show for these speakers. Every now and then they can be a little shouty but not fatiguing. In fact the prime sats are more shouty than these are. For now these 2 speakers trump the prime sats for me because I like the wide soundstage of the dali and the tonality of the PSB. I'm going to end up choosing 1 of these sets as my go-to desktop speakers. But I'm keeping my 5 star rating for the prime sats because for what they do, they do well(as long as you're in your sweet spot). Also the prime sats are a little smaller if desk room is an issue for you. Another good use would be for atmos speakers if the prime elevations are to pricey for your budget, as the sats are very directional.

Fits well on Shelves
So far, so good. Nice and small, look great on my bookshelves and just the right sound for my library/office room. Nice looking, blend in well with my black shelves. Sound quality is great.

Excellent choice for desktop audio system
I purchased a pair of Prime satellite speakers for my desktop audio system, which includes a 10 inch subwoofer, a Rotel amp rated at 50 wpc, and an Emotiva DAC. Source material includes music videos (classical, jazz and classic rock) and streaming movies.I am very impressed by the design and the 'fit 'n' finish' of speaker; tapered (chamfered) edges and separate compartments for tweeter and mid/woofer are very uncommon at this price point (but those features are common among far pricier speakers). My speakers have the "black ash" finish; it's a vinyl wrap but is visually appealing. They're even finished on the back which again is more the exception rather than the rule for a box speaker at this price point. Most important, of course, is the sound -- and these speakers do not disappoint. With proper setup (primarily to ensure that the tweeters are at ear level and that the speakers are equidistant from the listener's ears and from each other), they produce very satisfying results. They are especially good at reproducing female vocals (my favorites include Alison Krauss, Sylvia McNair and Rebecca Pidgeon)-- again, if set up properly. My five star rating of the Prime satellite speakers is not intended to suggest that they're the best sounding speakers for a desktop audio system. If you're willing to spend more (a lot more), chances are you can find something that to your ears will sound even better. I'll add that I have other speakers-- in my home theater system and in my home audio system-- that are better speakers. (They also are MUCH larger and several times more expensive.) But for me, for this application (desktop audio), I don't know of another speaker that represents a better combination of value, design, construction and sound quality. Highly recommended.

Small & Amazing
The detail and clarity of these satellites are strumming. Low volume, medium volume and loud volume...Nothing they can't handle. I love ❤️ Satellites from SVS.

Hay
No están mal, pero por el precio, compré unas klipsh r 41m y suenan mejor y vale la mitad.La calidad de construcción si es mejor, pero en sonido si oyes las dos, te vas a encantar por las klipsh.
