Easy and works great
I took this on vacation as an easy "craft" for my 14 and 10 year old daughters, but I think I enjoyed it more than they did. When the sun was bright and sunny, the paper exposed very quickly, turning from dark blue to almost white in a few seconds. You then submerge it in water (I just put a little on a baking sheet that had sides, but really any container would work) and the paper turns back to blue and your designs appear. On a few days it was overcast, so I had to let the items sit on the paper for longer than would typically be required. When placed in the water, the images still appeared but the paper as a whole was a much lighter shade of blue than the sheets we used on the bright sun days. (Maybe this is what happens when it's "overexposed" which is a warning on the package.) TIP: For the clearest images, use when the sun is directly overhead and does not cast shadows from the images. Using flat items produces the clearest results, but we liked using some other items too as it made variety in the final product. P.S. WE DID NOT PIN ANYTHING DOWN. We just set our items on the paper, and because it wasn't windy, there was no movement and the images were perfect.

It Works
I used this paper to work as film in a few small homemade cameras, as I work my way up to making a large format camera. It works alright - but for some of the paper there does appear to be printer lines (see photo), which is why I've taken a star away. It might not be as visible for photograms, but it is definitely visible in some of my photos.Next time, I'll probably just buy a chemical set so I don't have to worry about lines showing up in my photos, but this is fun to play around with.

Great science project!
My third grade students used these as a light energy project. They chose their own objects to put on the paper and the images came out fantastic! The directions were fine, but if you go to the actual website of Sun Prints, they show examples of good images. Even simple rubber bands look awesome as an image on this paper! It worked perfectly, and the paper was easy to use. Students are able to use them independently. I highly recommend this product.

Underwater extravaganza
I used this activity along with 2 others the last week of school in a first grade classroom. The students totally loved the activity. Usually we use our natural surroundings to create the pictures. The activities this particular week were based on water. I purchased underwater shapes (fish, plants, waves). The students selected the items they needed to create their fish bowl. They loved being outside. We used questions based on shadows, which they had been studying. The students seemed very interested in what was occurring under the shapes. I have used this product before with older children...they love it as much as the younger children. Great activity for around the house any time of the year. If you have never used this product, as I former teacher, I would advise doing the activity once before introducing it to your children. Loved it.

Works well when used properly
Like a lot of science-based materials, this one does something really cool. But like a lot of science-based materials, it requires careful and somewhat precise handling to work. Follow the directions (including planning in advance how you will manage each step) and you'll have nice, clear prints and make your high school science teacher proud. Get in a rush, and you'll end up with a mess.We made prints of leaves and other plant materials, and they turned out neat even though the "we" included two four-year-olds. I think some steampunk elements would also make a cool print--gears, etc. If you have a child who can sit still long enough, an annual handprint could be fun. Foam shapes arranged into a robot figure...A knife, fork, and spoon...anything with an interesting silhouette. I'm partial to nature, but there are plenty of other possibilities.

Works well
Priced right, good sized sheets, great amount for the money. My daughter loved using this product. We didn't pin anything down or use plastic wrap to keep objects down. Followed timing directions, submerged the print in water, and it came out great. I will be using these sheets for nature inspired Mothers Day cards in my preschool classroom.

it seemed like the, paper had been sitting on a shelf ...
Honestly, it seemed like the, paper had been sitting on a shelf for probably too long. It did not work as well, I teach photography to high school students, as an earlier order from somewhere else. The packaging also looked old. Hoping that I can rely on it for start of next semester

Used for a lesson
I volunteer at an elementary school, and used these as a science project, because the students were learning about light and shadows - I could easily tie that in with a little bit of fun. The kids loved it. Once you set the object on the paper, you let it sit in the light for a minute or so, but the kids were really antsy, so they moved their objects around a bit. I guess this wasn't a very good lesson to test on impatient first graders, but they all got to take their papers home. They loved it. It was very fun.

fine product - wrong description
The product itself is fine, I have used it before. But I only received a pack of 15 when this is advertised as a pack of 30. I had the option to return the item for refund but still want to use it so I kept it. But I hope that this description is updated soon for future buyers.
