Much better than I expected
I make pens with my lathe. Up until now, for wood pens, I’ve been using Myland’s finish (oil+wax) after sanding up to 12,000 grit using Micro-Mesh. It gives a pretty shiny finish but it wears off after a few weeks of use of the pen. I had heard that CA was a good finish, so I’ve tried several types of CA adhesive with pretty unsatisfactory results. So I got this stuff to try. I suggest watching the You-Tube video on using this finish. I haven’t tried the entire kit that Amazon sells, just the thin CA finish. Here’s my process: ALWAYS WEAR A FACE SHIELD!! sand the wood pen to 400 grit, then turn the varible speed lathe down to minimum (avoids splash) and flow the CA finish down the length of the pen blank. Then leave the lathe on at the low speed for about 3 minutes - until the CA dries. Finally, use Micro-Mesh up to 12,000 grit. This should result in a very shiny pen that will stay that way. The downside is that it is now pretty much a plastic pen. It isn’t noticeable to anyone but me that it doesn’t have the feel of wood. But the people I’ve given pens to really like it.

Works great
I use CA glue with coffee grounds to fill voids and cracks on live edge products. The combination fills and sands great plus take oil finish very well. DO NOT inhale vapor as it smokes during quick cure.

Ok, if you got lots of time
The good, great for self leveling extended work timeThe bad, way to long to dry, in most cases, still taky after 15-20 minutes. Activator doesn't work not as hard of a finish. "Thin" is thicker than the normal medium, so it doesn't penetrate as well

It’s just “meh...” in my opinion.
As a glue it works great. As a finish? I’m not impressed. I’ve used almost the whole bottle on various turnings and, although it gives a nice solid finish, I haven’t found it to produce a nice shine as of yet. I finish with a paste wax over this and am somewhat happier with the finished product. It may just be me and my application process, but I dunno. I’ll most likely try another brand next go around.
