Great sound across all ranges, easy to operate, and easy to carry (set-up in three minutes).
The Alto Professional Trouper is everything you need in a PA system in one very light, portable, and powerful package. Its 200-watt power output is clean across all ranges (high and low) and the product is extremely portable. I am a violinist / fiddler and I purchased the Trouper for solo venues where I am all alone on stage playing with recorded accompaniment. I needed a clear and pristine sound across all ranges and I needed something that was easy to carry, powerful, simple, and flexible enough to allow for a microphone, my instrument, and a media source (the recorded music). Because the Trouper has a built-in 3-channel mixer, this is very easy. However, one of the best parts of the Trouper is the Bluetooth! Now, I can have my music recorded on any Bluetooth device (a tablet, a smartphone, etc.) and I can easily speak or sing into a microphone, play my connected instrument, and have recorded music playing. I believe, for this very affordable price, you can do no better than the Trouper. I consider it to be the best product to meet one of the essential needs of every musician. At my last concert, I arrived and was ready to perform in under three minutes. My system sounded better than any of the more expensive PA systems at the venue.

Super portable, high quality, sounds good
We're hosting a few holiday parties over the next month at our house and we wanted to add karaoke. I definitely didn't want cords running everywhere or go with an overpriced karaoke machine so this was perfect. It's very simple and versatile. It does have some punch despite the lack of a sub, but this is definitely ideal for vocals. Construction quality is great. It's very durable. It's extremely light weight and easily moved by a single person. The inputs on the back are versatile accepting XLR or quarter inch along with a 3m input, RCA and bluetooth. Bluetooth works really well without any problems. It's easily extendable if you want to add more speakers to your setup but you can also get away with just one. For my karaoke setup I'm using my TVs sound bar and sub woofer to play music over the youtube app. I connected two wireless mics to this PA and I've created a really killer karaoke setup. I even got some music LED strips to go behind the TV. This wouldn't be defined as a cheap karaoke setup, but for around $300 it absolutely sounds better than most of nearby bars and we'll save the money on our drinks alone after just a few extra nights singing at home.

I doubt you could find a better system for the money--or even much more money.
My unit arrived a day ago and therefore I cannot testify to its longevity. Having surveyed the other reviews here on Amazon, I am very optimistic about that and yet I did purchase a three year service contract just in case.... The sound is fine connected to a GTD 787 set with handheld and also with body pack head and lapel mics. I have used that mic set for a year and like it enough that I purchased a second as a gift. Bluetooth in the Alto works VERY well. This unit is powerful enough to fill a small church or meeting room without dipping very far into its capacity. The sound quality is good and though it is labeled a PA system (and that is what this one will be for the most part) its sound quality is sufficient to support a serious vocalist. It is light and has a hand hold built into its back. Light, not overly large and good sound make it ideal for situations where quick setup and take-down are needed. Paired with the GTD 787, it makes a fine sound system. If one were to need more mixing capability, he might add a serious mixer to the setup, but for most applications the built-in mixer on this device should be quite adequate. I do not think you could find a better sound system for the money than this one.

This is not a worthwhile purchase.
I purchased this PA system for our Boy Scout Troop, and after two weeks of using it, I returned it very dissatisfied. As many other reviews have also highlighted, the included microphone did not work. At all. For a $300 system to have an essential component not work indicates that Alto didn't spend the time and investment to make the system functional. The microphone would cut in and out, and if you tried to adjust it at all, it just stopped working. I purchased additional microphones and an adaptor to connect them to the Alto PA system, but the sound quality was still very weak and was insufficient to use in a school gymnasium. On a positive note, the bluetooth function worked well, so if you only desire to play music from your cell phone, you're in luck. But as a PA system, this is not a worthwhile solution. Spend your money elsewhere.

Great Speaker for Small to Medium Applications
I'm very happy with this speaker. I bought a pair of the Alto Professional TS112A's three years ago and have been pleased with them, so I thought I'd give these a try for smaller gigs. I like the fact that they are light plus that they are tall so that I don't have to lift up a heavier cabinet as far. They have a very natural sound and enough clarity that vocals come through very nicely with a good dynamic mic. I normally use a Shure SM86 stage condenser mic to avoid the muddy sound that a lot of male vocalists get, but as this does not have phantom power I used my Beta 57 and it sounded great. It is not prone to feedback when used close enough and behind to use as a monitor, simplifying the setup process even more. Keep in mind that the volume controls on the back, as on others that have the XLR/1/4 inch inputs, are designed for both line level and mic signals; microphones will have to be cranked up well passed the midpoint to compete with active signals. To get the full potential of mics you might want to consider using a small mixer for effects and more convenient control. I also auditioned a Mackie Freeplay and am I glad that I chose this. For the same price you get true stereo (with two of these) and standard power cords, not wall warts. The only advantage I could see to the Mackie was the option of battery power.

Okay for the Money
Box is well built light easy to carry. Sound quality is the best at 30% in fact very good and clear, however as you turn it up it becomes very tin sounding and distorts very easy. The knobs are loose and feels very cheap quality.Bluetooth has a high pitched hum when nothing is playing and will drop the sound after 3 min. When you connect an rca they also have the high pitched buzzing. I bought this for home but I would not recommend it for Pub, Bar or public venue unless it is just for speaking or a Monitor in a DJ Booth.

Excelente compra

Speakers to Love it!
This is excellent speaker, with very clear sound, defined and precision in sound distribution. Base is very good for the size of the speaker, but do not expect to replace the subwoofer with this speaker. I got one speaker and as soon as heard the sound I ordered one more, so I can have stereo sound. I also plan to get subwoofer at some point so I get fool system, however, with two speakers you will have plenty base fro home parties.Excellent quality of the product. Recommending, easy to connect with my phone, speaker is light, but lot of power.

Exceeded my expectations!
This speaker is loud. I have yet to test it in it's full capacity as I am mainly using this at home for karaoke or as an electroacoustic guitar speaker. Tones are very clear and the built in eq was great! I paired it with my mackie profx4v2 and I could not be happier with the sound. Was debating this between the turbosound ip300 but for the fraction of the cost, it is a no brainer. 200 watts is also pretty sufficient for my needs. I will be trying it next weekend with a sub and stereo it with his bose L1 in a gym setting. We shall see how it performs.

Loud enough to play with my drummer
I bought this so i can jam with my friend. I play guitar and he plays drums. We have a band but never were able to sing because my drummer plays super loud metal style double kick etc. I wanted a super simple P.a. that was less then 300 dollars. Im able to put in two mics into it, one for me and for my drummer. So we can sing now. Its loud enough for us. I dont crank it all the way but about 80 to 90 percent of the way. You can plug in guitars as well. I like that its easy to transport from my house to my friends and back. ITs easy to move around because its just one speaker powered by its own internal amp. i even rest my beer can on top of it lol, practical little table to put your beer or pics on haha etc. Mine doesnt hum at all. I have not used bluetooth on it but its a p.a. for rocking for me. I am pretty stoked on it. I bought it for 260 and im really happy i did. Works perfect and is super simple, no mess of cords and easy to transport. metal mesh and seems quite sturdy. just plug it into the wall and put an xlr into it or a 1/4 inch. Cool design excepts either on both of the outputs. So on the same port you put your mic into you can also put in a guitar cable instead. Dope for playing guitar and practicing singing in your house as well. Its awesome.
