Indian Military Intelligence assigns their agent, Vikram Sabharwal, to travel to Kashmir. There he is to locate the person(s) behind the violence, under the guise of a press reporter, Gul Jahangir. Once there, he begins his investigation by visiting highly sensitive areas as such as the Jama Masjid, Dardpura Village and Rainawari Chowk. He is accompanied by a tailor, Char Chinar, who sells uniforms to both militants and the underpaid military soldiers. Vikram meets up with Aziza Abbas Ansari, and her mentor, Haji Sayyed Shah, and aspiring political leader, Aatif Hussain. And it is after these meetings that he will conclude who is behind the extremism in this beautiful yet 'most dangerous place on Earth'

Made in 2010 but may as well have been made in 2020
This movie is certainly ambitious. It's approach makes for a disquieting experience for those who propagate the current status quo.So it was only to be expected those countries engaged in similar conflicts of their own would censored this movie! It would hardly do to showcase why it doesn't pay to resolve conflicts.No conflict stays "live" unless it's a vastly profitable enterprise for all players "engaged" in keeping the festering sore " hot".Government can abuse the citizens of Kashmir, supposedly to defeat "terrorists" whilst in effect creating the very ideal conditions necessary to cultivate, and nurture terrorists. Since after all those terrorist puppet masters won't be held to account for their crimes, anymore then the government!Neither side cares about the long suffering inhabitants of Kashmir. They are incidental, a mere side show.Terrorists allow government to win easy elections! Their financiers escape justice. WHY? Money laundering flourishes! Terrorists need government to stay viable.Government needs terrorists to silence criticism, protests, being punished before the rules of law.And where would the superfluous toothless worthless entity the U.N. be without such conflicts!Power! Corruption. Posturing. Profiteering. A truly profitable enterprise!Eye watering sums squandered in the name of security!Imagine if there was transparency, how that money was actually spent, and what it delivered in return as security! Would those who foot the bill to pay for such extravagant excesses with their eyes wide open armed with all the facts continue to propagate until infinity a dispute which the imperialist powers set in motion, therefore still allowing the imperialists to dictate their agenda?If so, what was the point of supposed independence from imperialist countries?
