My Story With the Twilight Dolls
Lemme tell ya a story!!When Twilight came out, I was in Middle School (I think) and I wasn't into it very much. But then I saw that my friend got one of the Twilight Barbie’s. Me, being a Barbie Girl from birth, wanted one but my parents would only get me a Twilight Barbie if I like Twilight. It didn't take much convincing for my mom to get me the books but she had to read them first before she let me read them (she thought they were too inappropriate but she wanted to make sure first lol). Meanwhile, I watched the first movie with my friends. The first Twilight movie was okay I guess at the time, though rewatching it as an adult makes me cringe to high heaven. Then my mom deemed the first book appropriate and I spent an entire week sleeping very little to finish the entire Twilight Saga just to convince my mother that I was a fan. All for the Barbies.I had issues with how creepy and stalkerish Edward was and I thought that Jacob had anger issues, but it was easy to insert myself in the books as Bella because of how bland she was. Regardless of the way I thought about the books, I continued to con my parents into thinking that I was a genuine fan of the series. They got me and two if my younger sisters a Bella doll. One of my sisters and I got Edward and the other got Jacob. I never recreated scenes from the books or movies or continued the story through the dolls. Whenever I played with Edward and Bella, Edward was still a vampire but Bella was a witch, as well as an all-around badass who teamed up with my other Barbies to save my few boy Barbies from whatever bad guy I had come up with. Edward and Bella had three daughters and one son: Skipper, the twins Ruby and Little Johnny, and the baby Reneseme. I would sneak my little sister’s Jacob doll and he was always Skipper’s boyfriend.Even though I am too old for it to be socially acceptable to play Barbies and all of my Barbies are safely stored in my parent’s attic for when I have kids, I am EXCITED to now own my own Jacob Barbie. I am also getting a new Edward and Bella since my old Edward and Bella are a bit worn down, despite how well I took care of my toys. In fact, out of the three Bella Barbies my parents bought, mine lasted the longest. I was heartbroken when her leg fell off at the knee, but by then I was a senior in high school and my mom was basically forcing me to put all my Barbies away. I hope to one day complete my Twilight Barbie collection with Carlisle and Esme and any other Twilight Barbie there is (I KNOW that a Jane Barbie exists cos my friend had one) and maybe ill continue the collection by getting the Hunger Games and Divergent Barbies cos guess what. THEY EXIST TOO.Anyway, I am enjoying my Jacob doll and eagerly waiting for the end of the week for when I get a new Edward and Bella. I'll probably play with them in secret, continuing the stories that I came up with as a kid with my other Barbies. My mom doesn't have to know that though!!

Great quality and detail
My kids wanted this Jacob doll just for his hair. They said it's "really really hard to find a 'Ken' doll with 'real' hair that looks good." LOL! Well, they should love this doll. He has perfectly-coiffed hair, muscles, and a cool werewolf tattoo. What's not to like? LOL(I didn't have the heart to tell them that in a week, Jacob is going to have severe bed-head and look like he's doing the walk of shame from Barbie's dream house.) ;-D

A great addition
2010- this Jacob doll was bought to add to my granddaughters huge collection and was another doll well received to her Twilight Saga Collection…These dolls are so well made and the fun she had with all her dolls was filled with so much creativity with story telling with her dolls.

WHAT I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO
sadly I had disliked how Mattel had been managing ken doll because I love him since I was a child and changes on him were just either a new outfit or a new head mold in the same body from early 60's, however recently my point of view has turned in satisfaction due to 3 new different Ken dolls have brought out , Edward, HD ken and Jacob based on NEW MOON film; features as head mold very Taylor alike, open wide pumped up arms,no bendable legs, taller than a standard ken, bigger feet, new hands mold, simple outfit become him amazing and MUST HAVE. That's what collector like me had been waiting for, innovation, new proposals which call me to buy.

When the doll arrived it came in a really beautiful box with great artwork
When the doll arrived it came in a really beautiful box with great artwork, but once I opened it I got a huge whiff of a nasty plastic smell. After searching online i concluded that it wasn't poisonous and would go away in time lol. Other than that this doll is very detailed and his face mold is almost an exact match to the actor who plays jacob. I love that his body is thicker than your average Ken doll because it adds to the realism. One thing I wished it had was articulated joints. I don't understand why the hunger games dolls have articulation but twilight doesn't. Other than that it is a really great quality doll that should be a great collector item or plaything.

Nice Doll
I'm not a fan of the Twilight series, but I have been trying to add a few more male dolls to my Barbie collection, and when I saw this one at the great sale price, I ordered. It arrived in perfect condition and is a really nice doll to have. Even if you aren't into Twilight.I actually purchased one of the girl Twilight dolls after this one, because I liked her too. I won't be collecting all of them, but this is a nice pair of dolls to have.

Great for the tween who fell in love with Twilight
Great gift for my 12 year old. She's beginning to outgrow Barbies and this is a little more mature than the typical Barbie. She fell in love with the books and movies and our family has had lots of jokes about the series. This doll, in particular, is hilarious with the tattoo and Taylor Lautner abs.
