A companion book to his 'Boat Modeling the easy way'Payson takes each model and builds it in by a different method, starting from carving accurately from a solid block, chine construction, strip on bent frame and bread and butter construction.All models are of small inshore craft and some built in the identical mannaer to the full size craft - more miniature than a model!As with all his books, Payson's approach aims mainly at the less experienced modeler tand full of hints and wrinckles.Highly detailed and never over simplified.I have bought a other Dynamite Payson books and will purchase more as they become available.Although I haven't followed a single plan or model in his books I refer to them frequently when constructing my own modelsRecomend this book and 'Boat modeling the easy way' and for all but the most skilled modelers

This is a great way to build small boats. He takes you through step by step in what you need to do and tells you a lot of helpful tips a long the way.

Good value! Lots of info. I bought all of his model building books! They are good reading as well as being packed with his process.

Another excellent boat modeling book from the late Dynamite Payson. I miss his writing.

Great book

Like your other practice books, "Dynamite" Pason apply your building technics in the small models and bring to modeler wonderful results. The technics are very simple, the projects are fast and playable, and the sequence of pictures of the projects, excelent. I recommend this book for the begginer modeler and for the people who likes nautical models. The results are very beautiful.

I loved this book! The wit and charm of "Dynamite" Payson comes out in spades. The level of detail is just right and although I haven't built any of the models described in the book, after reading the steps I feel confident I could follow them successfully.
