These cookies were stale, disgusting and NOT RETURNABLE. There are only 5 each of pistachio and walnut (the more expensive ingredients), and about 20 of the date-filled flavor. All of the cookies were dry, grainy and just awful, despite not yet reached expiration date which is about 3 months away. The nut cookies were so old and dry that they were tasteless - you could not even taste the nuts, it was like eating dust. The cookies with date filling had so much cinnamon in them that it burns your mouth. Save your money and don't get these UNRETURNABLE cookies that must be at least a couple years old, they are so dried out. Amazon should not allow vendors to let items be unreturnable when those items are defective. That is not fair to customers.

Update!! Delicious! Totally worth it. Will definitely buy again! I have not tried these cookies. I will update after they are gifted and we try them but I will review upon first glance. I was looking for sweets from Greece. I stumbled upon these treats. Seeing the baklava first and thinking that they were Greek. I dont think there is much difference between the ingredients and methods so im not upset.. I do wish the description listed this as Arabic sweets. I feel the sentiment of the gift is lost, for my husband. That is ultimately my fault. They just looked so tasty in the photos after searching for so many, I didn't think to do my research. It just would have been nice to see immediately in the head description. So the box our cookie tin was delivered in had crumbs all over it. Upon opening the box, I imagined that the cookies were ruined due to shipping and packaging. After all there was nothing in this box to keep the cookie tin from being thrown around. The plastic seal was in tact. Only two cookies were broken. THESE COOKIES ARE BEAUTIFUL AND SMELL AMAZING! As I tried to put the tin lid back on, I realized it had been warped. I believe that is how we were loosing cookie crumbs and seeds. But I cant wait to try these sweet treats!! By the looks, so far, I recommend purchasing.

The item was not fresh, maybe was not stored properly.

The sesame in this product tasted like they had expired, and the cookies themselves tasted stale.
