I'm 57 years old and I've been eating pumpkin seeds since I'm about 7 years old. The best seeds I ever had as a kid was Indian pumpkin seeds. They came in a Redbox and they were thick meaty pumpkin seeds.As an adult I could never find him again. Indian still makes the little bags but they're terrible small and skinny.Periodically I will buy my pumpkin seeds at different stores for $1 per bag. They're okay but nothing I would write home about.Honestly the best pumpkin seeds I can find these days are from ShopRite and they come in a big tub but they're $14 and I find that to be a little expensive.So I decided to try these pumpkin seeds considering a 2 lb bag for $24.00A little steep but I thought they would be good pumpkin seeds for that price.Today is July 7th 2024 8:30 a.m.I just got done having a handful of these pumpkin seeds. And wow! The worst pumpkin seeds I've ever had in my life. I consider myself a pumpkin seed expert so if I tell you they were terrible trust me they will terrible.Hardly no salt on them. The taste of the seat itself was bland and actually had no taste. It is true that they are large but that means nothing if the taste is terrible.I just soon found out that I cannot return them and I'm guessing because it's a food product. And that's okay I'll feed them to the birds.I really leave reviews and I feel terrible even leaving a negative review because I know small businesses depend on good reviews. But I can't back up a small business if they're making a terrible product.I'll go back to buying my pumpkin seeds at ShopRite they are very tasty and enough salt to please the pallet.Don't waste your money on these seeds because you won't be able to return them.

If you’re into clean eating, these pumpkin seeds are great. They have no added oils or flavorings, just a light touch of sea salt and full roasted flavor. Crunchy and satisfying on their own or in trail mix. A great nut-free snack option.

It has been reduced from it's original 5 Stars down to 3 Stars after purchasing four bags separately over the course of a few months.LIGHT SEA SALT:I was buying a local brand as opposed to David's brand which used to be all I could get. And I thought they were good. Then I found these.These are the bomb. They are worth the money. Described as 'lightly salted' I find them to be CONSISTENTLY SALTED which is a giant plus. You know how with other brands you sometimes get a piece that has no salt taste, and other times get one too salty? I've been eating out of this bag for awhile now and these are equally salty throughout.I'm able to crunch them perfectly just the way I like, the insides are soft, and I haven't come across any empty hulls yet, either. As GMO free, Made in USA, and free of top 10 allergens I will definitely be back.SEA SALTED:These were just as good as the previous bag that I had, except slightly saltier. I was excited to receive them and immediately purchased another bag when I was finished with this one. The bags are large enough that if only one or two people are eating them, it takes awhile to finish it off.HEAVY SEA SALT:This was my third purchase. I love salt, so I couldn't wait to try the Heavy flavoring since the other two bags were so good. Except the Heavy Sea Salt bag was full of dry, hard, and inedible pumpkin seeds. It was so disappointing. I couldn't eat the bag, and had to throw it out. It bothered me because they were so expensive and I felt a little ripped off. But, being that I had previously purchased two bags which were great, this didn't dissuade me from ordering again. I believed that so much salt was just too much salt and that was why the seeds were so hard. So I purchased again.TOASTED ONION AND GARLIC:And this was the fourth and final purchase I made. These were also inedible. The top half of the bag was dry and hard, but the bottom looked different. The bottom of the bag was full of oil and I could see a pile of spice mix just sitting at the bottom like it fell off, or never stuck to the shells. I thought if I dumped everything into a large bowl and stirred, the problem may correct itself at which point I could bag them again and enjoy. Except it didn't help. I ate some of the ones from the bottom that were so oily they were practically see-through but they were gross and not inedible. So I threw this bag away, too.At this point, I won't purchase these again. I've had to throw away two out of four bags, so the company isn't consistent in what they're providing. Of the bags I threw out, both had different problems. Also the cost is a factor. I am out over $30 on what should have been a good long supply of pumpkin seeds, which I eat for their nutrients. I am on the hunt for another good brand to try, as I need to eat a handful of these daily.If you can recommend another brand of in-shell pumpkin seeds (sometimes called pepitos) please leave a comment, I am in need of something good! I love writing reviews on products that I've purchased and hearing feedback from others, since I base many of my personal purchases off of the reviews written by other shoppers and their experiences. I bought a bag of these pumpkin seeds as I wanted the seeds WITH the shells on and didn't want a high sodium product. The whole seed (including the shell) are supposed to enhance your gut and provide excellent biome nourishment, so I was excited to try these. They did NOT disappoint! In fact, had I not known, (if someone had poured these into a plastic bag or container and given them to me during the Halloween season), I would swear they were done in the home, the old fashioned way by scooping out pumpkin seeds from Halloween pumpkins while carving them. That alone gave me such a good feeling, but eating them proved all the great reviews I read. They truly are the real deal!!! They're not tough, roasted, yes, but not super tough. They are not too salty and are very satisfying. It's good to know that they are a food grown in the U.S. and processed in the U.S. While some people note they are expensive, for me, that's okay. I don't buy junk food and I know nuts in general are not cheap. I am VERY happy to support a company that provides snacks make in the U.S. with U.S. products. They are totally worth it!! I am totally grateful to Gerbs for producing such an excellent product and will continue to purchase them. Have ordered my fourth bag! (Even hubby enjoys these and says they taste like the real deal!) One last thing....I love the very tiny little pieces of pumpkin that get stuck on the seeds. Makes them SO authentic and it's so reminiscent of roasting seeds when we were younger. Such a treat! <3
