Excellent paddle- not just an excellent budget paddle
I bought this paddle to replace the one that came with my inflatable SUP. That original paddle was similar to this one, but the union between the top third of the paddle and the middle third was one of those threaded compression assemblies, and that actually broke while I was on the water in the Florida Keys. This paddle has what looks like a much more robust arrangement- it's a variable tension lever lock, and it works beautifully.I've used this for two fishing outings so far, both in the marshes in Louisiana. A paddle in that environment has a rough time- the water is salty, there are oysters, pilings and some riprap to fend off, and you do a fair amount of poling and pushing rather than straight paddling. I also use it to stake out with, which means its blade is stuck in the mud while the wind and waves move the board around, and I saw no reason to be concerned that this stress would result in breakage or damage. It was a pleasure to paddle with- it felt light and rigid. One thing I'll mention is that I found it easier to paddle with the paddle"wrong" way (i.e., with the blade angling backwards rather than forwards). Held the "proper" SUP way, it felt to me like I was getting a little bit of bit of blade flutter. But this is kinda neither here nor there- the handle is easily reversed so you can hold the paddle however works for you.All in all, I am very satisfied with this paddle and its performance, and if any of the other paddles I have need replacement, this is what I'll buy.

Okay for the price
I am a huge paddleboarder so I already knew for this price it wasn't going to be the best. It came in super quick so that was exciting. I put it together and closed the clamp and if you push down the handle goes down so the clamp is already kind of loose. Haven't used it yet but that was a little unsettling, but I am hoping it still works great. Also, came slightly damaged but its so minimal I could care less too much work for a return. On the paddle there is a like cuts/marks in the plastic, not sure if it happened during shipping or being produced but its not bad enough where I think it will cause any issue.

Seemed very heavy, about 4oz heavier than specified
Pros: tight fit of pieces, had wobble in another paddle we tried. Looks like the upper part is sealed, should give decent float if it is sealed, but no foam in the other parts and the paddle is heavy.Cons:felt very heavy on the paddle end, paddle looked very thick and "overbuilt". Weighed in at over 2lb 4oz, about 3 oz more than specified. Actually picked because it was close to 2 instead of others at 2lb4oz, so that wasn't cool.Paddle looks in pictures like a nice glossy finish, in person looks like it was sponge painted with latex paint by a kid.Pieces are almost too tight to go together, the length marks will get scraped off with use.The clamps feel cheap, may break, hard to tighten. The T-handle is a cheap molded piece that you can feel the flashing (seam) on the top, not smooth or comfortable, kind of slick, probably not good wet.No rotational indexing so you have to manually line up the T-handle with the paddle end.In the end we are returning it. Have spent several hours and two purchases looking for a decent replacement for our mid-range paddle that sunk and are 0 for 2.

Broke Mid Paddle and sunk
Bottom half of the paddle slipped right off while paddling in middle of a lake on my third or fourth time using it. Paddle was completely locked too. Thankfully my boyfriend was also out on his kayak and able to tow me back other wise I would have been stranded.

Great 3 piece paddle for a great price!
Bought i SUPS and needed travel paddles to go with them, and these were a great choice. Despite the blade being a bit heavier than I’d like the paddles do great in the water, feel lighter than I thought they would due to the carbon fiber shaft, which for a 3 piece adjustable is great, shaft is a good size even for women’s smaller hands, not often the case with less expensive paddles. Shipped and packed well.

Great Paddle For the Price
I bought this paddle as a replacement because mine sank!! I had an AquaPlus paddle that came with my paddleboard. I loved the shape and style of my original one and this was almost a perfect match. I love the way you can pop the latch and raise or lower the handle. I wanted a sturdy latch, which this one has, and I didn’t want to spend a lot. This paddle was one of the lower priced in the style I was looking for. It’s a great paddle that is sturdy and works well. The only difference is that is a little bit heavier than my original. It’s noticeable but I’m getting used to it. I searched and researched paddles night and day for a week before I decided on this one and I’m very happy with it.

buyer beware - top hand grip will twist
The top part of this paddle (where top hand grips) is unable to lock using spring loaded cam shafts into the mid-shaft, making this paddle useless for paddleboarding. The "anti-twist" mechanism does not prevent twisting at all. Furthermore, the photo depiction is deceptive as it does not accurately detail this faulty articulation.

Heavy!!!!
I paddleboard for a while now I have 2 paddles . A Kialoa ( aluminum / plastic) and a QB carbon. This paddle is clunky and heavier then my aluminum one although I bought the carbon shaft one.It feels very awkward , very heavy plastic (the paddle part) …. I returned it right away

Nice looking- a little heavy
Paddle is built strong, but for a carbon fibre I found it too heavy. Weighs in at just under 1000 grams.Price is good just too heavy.
