Q: I'm looking to use something like this to mount an open air pc under a desk. Will the acrylic hold that weight if i mount it then build on it?

Well, yes - within reason . . . I got mine to use with a Gigabyte 310 series board - very small micro board - and the acrylic is a little smaller than the board. If you aren’t building a big, oversized unit you s/b gtg!
