The dimmer switch broke within 2 weeks of use.
The off/on dimmer switch broke within 2 weeks of normal use. Now I can turn it on or off only using pliers. So I just leave it on or pull the plug.

Torch-style floor lamp with built-in LED’s
The lamp arrived earlier than promised, a nice start. It was fairly easy to assemble. The threads on each section require that you have them very well aligned or they don’t screw on properly. Ordinarily, this wouldn’t be an issue, but the lamp is almost 6 feet tall, so aligning them vertically with the wire running through each section is a bit of a challenge. The wire above the dimmer is longer than necessary. The only reason to look at the instructions is to see that it tells you to fold that wire in half to stuff it in the next section. It can’t be pulled through the bottom of the lamp because it is connected at the dimmer, and it’s not the same as the wire below the dimmer. The lamp works well, but the dimmer doesn’t go below about 20% give or take. It works well enough for me considering the lamp I tried before buying this didn’t go below about 50%, which is unacceptable. I have no way of measuring this, but at max, the lamp doesn’t seem as bright as the listed lumens would suggest. Overall, I am pleased with the lamp. It’s nice that it has an array of LED’s built in. There was another lamp I was considering, but I would have needed to buy a 100 or 150 watt equivalent bulb for it. This is just easier. It is in the office at my house. I would recommend this lamp.

Poor quality, cheap junk. Avoid.
I wanted to update this review and I changed the stars from one to three because of the stellar customer service I received after I posted my first review (which follows.) I stand by the fact I received a bad lamp that didn't fit together properly and work well.... however the vendor contacted me, and along with a full refund offered me another completely free lamp to make it up to me. I did not accept as I had already purchased a new one, but this type of customer service is above and beyond the normal you would expect and so I feel they deserve to have recognition of this. They stood behind the sale and offered to make it right. Thank you!. Original review follows:This is a very poor quality, pain in the ass to assemble lamp. Well at least the one I received was. No matter what I did, putting the top piece on straight and without a gap was impossible. Not an assembly error my me, just badly designed parts that don't fit together properly. Also the knob on the side is of poor quality and the lamp is apt to change brightness on it's own. When I first turn it on and turn it all the way up it's maximum brightness, but then it will dim somewhat on it's own.... then, to get it back to the brightest setting, you have to back it off and fiddle with it to find "the sweet spot". Disassembling it to re-package for return would be too big of a PITA but now that Amazon has drop off returns, this will be returned for a refund. I've included a picture where you can see the obvious gap between the lamp "shaft" and the housing. It may not be easy to see in the picture but it's not 100% level, it's crooked.

So far, very good
I like the brightness and the fact that it's adjustable both up and down. I have another LED floor lamp that uses a touch control that only increases the brightness until max, then goes back down to the minimum with another touch. I like the rotary control on this lamp much better. I would have given this lamp 5 stars except for two things: 1. Assembly - While it didn't take that long (maybe a half-hour), it was a bit confusing and awkward when you have to bend part of the cord back and squeeze it into the tube. Couldn't they just have made that section of the cord a bit shorter? 2. Even on the lowest setting before it goes off, it's still a bit brighter than I'd like for bedroom light. I used to have a halogen floor lamp that could be dimmed to about nothing before it went off completely. However, I think that's just the nature of LED lights compared to halogens.

Don't make them like this anymore.
I have been looking for so long for a lamp that has a knob for gradual dimming instead of the three step dimming feature. This is the only lamp I found that has this feature. I was so glad to find this. Just got the lamp earlier today. Very easy to assemble. It doesn't get very bright, but it seems much safer than my previous halogen lamp that was a fire hazard. It also is LED lighting and I will never need to buy another bulb. I do wish the light was more warm, but I fixed that by putting a transparent red plastic Tupperware lid on top of the lamp and since it doesn't get hot this seems to do the trick for me and give me a softer, warmer feeling light. So far I am very happy that I ordered this. The price is very reasonable and I may order one for each room.

Dim is too bright...
Very easy to assemble, took me about five minutes (if that) to put it together...Smooth rotary switch so you can set the brightness where you want it, almost...At full brightness it’s “aircraft landing lights” bright...I personally don’t see us ever needing it to be that bright, unless we decide to try and signal the international space station...And that being said, the dimmest setting is also a bit brighter than I prefer...I bought this to replace an older halogen floor lamp that I converted to a pair of candelabra style incandescent bulbs (which my 100 pound Doberman knocked over and bent the top of it), for ambient light while watching TV, and it’s a bit too bright on the lowest setting...I have an idea to cut a piece of Lexan to fit in the top and tint it to cut down the amount of light output...Would’ve have it five stars if “dim” wasn’t so bright...

Nice sturdy light. Could be dimmer.
Well built, sturdy light. Good neutral color from the bulb. Not too white, not too warm/orange. The base is heavy so it's not very "tippy." Straight forward to put together. Be careful to not cross-thread the joints. I started at the base and worked up. Having a second person to hold the parts as you go up is helpful. Just stuff the excess white wires above the dimmer switch into the tubes. A bit more wire then there needs to be though in my opinion.Only complaint about the lamp is the dimmer switch and the lowest dim level. I wish it got down to about half as dim as it actually does. That's my preference but for the price it's not a huge complaint. Also, the dimmer switch isn't real smooth when you turn it but it does not seem to affect the operation of the lamp.
