In answer to your question, I would like to explain that it is certainly abnormal for water to leak from the button, as the button seal is no longer watter tight. Therefore, I kindly advise returning to the retailer with the proof of purchase for a refund, or contact the Contigo Consumer Service at contigoeureope@newellco.com.
