Lobster Shacks: A Road Guide to New England's Best Lobster Joints

Being a New England born person (from RI), I've been to a few of these places (Aunt Carrie's in RI, Lobster Shack at Two Lights in ME) and I can say that this book picked some amazing places. I might do a little road trip one time and check out these places seeing I'm a big fan of simple lobster (boiled with butter, or hot & buttered lobster rolls). A great guide if you're in the Northeast and want some good lobster!

This book had a lot of good info and what I liked was the specifics about all the locations and restaurants. My husband and I will use this book as we travel to stop at some of the featured spots to try their "lobster rolls". As a guide, if you love lobster, this was 'worth it'....

I live in CT and was excited to get this for a friend's birthday. We both love lobster, especially hot butter lobster rolls, so I think she'll really enjoy reading about all the places the author visited.

Great balance of history, current info, maps and flavor about surrounding areas of each "shack"Will rate higher after visiting several we did not already know of (it's winter in New England - the subject of this book applies best to warm weather!)Overall, a delight so far!

Maine lobster. It doesn't get any better!

I bought this book for my husbands birthday. We just bought a summer home in Maine so we can't wait to try out some of these place. It's really a NEAT book!

Can't wait to do the New England coast and try as many of these places as possible. Don't think anyone, at least me could ever get enough, let alone too much Lobster!

We travel to Maine a lot and love seafood but end up at the same places each time. We wanted to try new places but without much risk, so we bought the box. It is well written and kind of fun to read. We've checked out two so far.
