Acme S302/G S302-G Phoebe Spoon, 1/8-Ounce, Gold

This lure just plain works. I cast it around sunken logs and the perch, crappie and bass go insane for it. This is a fantastic lure to use for the cold water pan fish species. I’ve caught fish on straight retrieves, and many times even on the drop! Another great technique is bouncing it up and down, and sometimes even leaving the lure sink or hit the ground. Perch will hit for sure! Stock up in case you get snapped off by a pickerel or the hooks bend out due to a bigger fish!!!

I use this to catch trout in a river and it has been great! One thing to note is that you should get a small brass snap swivel to avoid line twist.

I was in Bishop last April right before the trout opener fishing the lower Owen's river one morning and was not having much luck so decided to go take a break to clear my mind. While taking a break a fly fisherman came up and we started to chat. He said he knew of a lil secret and that secret was the ACME Gold Phoebe. The shop up there did not have them so I had to order some online to get them in my possession...I went up again in May and caught 49 trout. Mainly with the Gold Phoebe, I mainly caught brook and rainbow with a few brown mixed in. I will definitely purchase more in the future. This is an absolute must have for the high sierras or any body of water with trout.
