Worked..but I wouldn't use it alone
After being burned and wasting money on cable and satellite the last couple of years I wanted to look for an alternative, especially because I don't really watch tv all that much. I'm a apartment dweller, and often move once a year for work. I wanted to buy a strong outdoor antenna, but stringent rules on cabling and mounting of such an antenna, made it difficult. I wanted to try my luck first with a couple of indoor antennas, before shifting to the outdoor route.I purchased this item, due to the high ratings. I was completely disappointed when this item didn't work for me right out of the box. I called their CS, and they were very helpful. I assumed my 7yr old Sony HDTV had a digital turner and wouldn't need a converter, but I was wrong. When I finally got my digital converter box and hooked up the Leaf, I was able to detect about 22 channels, but not all that well. Most cut in and out. I also purchased a few other items to supplement this product, and after playing around a bit with placement and set up, I now get 17 channels at 100%, and there is only 12 full-pwred stations in the surrounding cities in my area. I also get quite a few channels in High Def. There is only one VHF channel in my area, but I get that one at 100% with the Amp I'm using. The picture is better than I've ever been able to receive with Cable or Satellite. I can't believe I'm finally utilizing my tv's HD capability, and I'm not paying a dime.I said it works But because I was able to receive almost the same amount of channels with the $8 rabbit ears I bought at the same time and I also wouldn't suggest using this item alone. However, if I had to choose either one, I would definitely go with the Leaf. Less adjustment is needed and it gets a stronger signal overall. But I would suggest adding a amp and maybe a extra VHF antenna for the best possible signal from an indoor antenna. I'm planning to buy the PCT 2-Port Bi-Directional Amp/Splitter to eliminate the extra cabling and to boost my signal.Update: I was still curious about how many channels I could possibly get in the area, so when I went to Lowes I picked up the GE Outdoor/Indoor Antenna on a whim for almost $50. The box claimed the strongest signal, with its 20db built-in amp, but I only got about a third of what I got with the Leaf, even with it outside.Update II: I have since received the PCT 2-Port Bi-Directional Amp and now this works like a champ. I didn't realize this amp has two outputs not inputs, so I can only connect one antenna without a additional splitter. Well, it doesn't seem to matter, because this amp boosts the leaf enough to use alone. The signal is so strong now, there is no pixelation and everything is pretty much looks HD without any signs of noise, which the RCA Amp couldn't do. I'm going to purchase the PCT 1-Port Bi-Directional Amp , to see if that helps even more.Update III: I tried both the Mini 1 Port Bi-Directional PCT Amp and the Regular Heavy duty 1Port PCT amp and out of all three Amps I tried the 1-Port Heavy Duty worked the best. The Mini 1-Port was the worst out of 4 amps I tried with this antenna. I don't recommend wasting your time on the Mini 1-Port Amp, even though it advertises to be double the amplification. Don't believe it. The big/heavy older vision of the PCT amps are work the best.Update IV: I bought a 2nd Leaf Antenna for my bedroom tv and for my mother that lives out of state. My LED tv in my bedroom doesn't need a converter box, but unfortunately I still need the PCT amp to get great reception. It's still a great buy and I rave to others about it whenever I can. I love not having a monthly bill.My Final Set-up after trying multiple equipment: PCT 2-Port Bi-Directional Amp (the 1-port is dinky and doesn't amplify as well)Viore Digital TV Converter Box ($34 Walmart)

Good quality cheap antenna which requires minimal setup
I used to have a super basic cable TV service, which was basically just OTA (Over The Air) signals for about a dozen channels piped down the cable line. But when my cable company decided to start charging me a few bucks a month extra just for that (thanks to that law that was passed a year or so ago) I decided to totally cut the cord. But in addition to internet streaming options I also wanted a TV antenna for OTA signals. After looking around on Amazon and reading some reviews, I settled on a Mohu Leaf, because it was cheap and I didn't want to mess around in my attic or run a power line to it.Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. There are a few annoyances, but generally it's been a good deal. One important thing I want to bring up, which is not really a pro or a con: be warned that you will probably have to spend some time messing around with positioning of the Mohu Leaf (or really any antenna) to figure out where it should be placed to get the best overall signal. So don't permanently attach the antenna to your wall/ceiling until you KNOW it's in the right place.PROS:* The product is relatively small and doesn't stand out when affixed to my wall/ceiling.* I love the fact you can choose between a black side or a white side, and that you can paint it without the signal being degraded.* Setup was very easy. Once you've figured out where it should go just screw it into the coaxial input on your TV (assuming you have a TV with a built-in digital tuner - which pretty much any HDTV made in the past 4 or 5 years should have).* The coaxial cable running from the base of the antenna is a decent length (seems like it's about 8 or 9 feet).* It doesn't require electricity to function.* Most importantly, this antenna has a decent (but not perfect - more on that in a minute) reception. After positioning it a few times I was able to get about 15 decent quality OTA signals, most of which still come through well even in overcast conditions.CONS:* The signal is good, but not quite as good as I had hoped. I live in a suburban area, about 30 miles from several TV signal towers. No matter where I placed it, there was always one channel that wouldn't come through (sometimes ABC, sometimes PBS). So I had to choose between one of those two. From what I understand about the distance to the towers, my positioning of the Mohu Leaf (at about 10 feet up on my ceiling near a window), and from the TV signal report I got at tvfool.com, I should have been able to get ALL the networks just fine. But no matter where I placed the Leaf, one or two always failed to come through, even if good weather.* The extras that come with this product for affixing it to your wall or ceiling are limited. I guess it's good that they supplied any at all. But really, none of them proved useful, so it wouldn't have been a big deal if the antenna hadn't come with them. It comes with 4 velcro stickies pairs, which separated from the Leaf antenna within about 10 minutes (the velcro parts that I stuck to my ceiling were fine).* The Leaf features two little holes on one edge for pins/nails. But I really wish it had a little hole on each corner. That would have been much more useful.Eventually I might upgrade to a "real" powered attic antenna, so i can get a better signal. But for now the Mohu Leaf works pretty well. This product will work fine for those a) in a dense metro area with very good signal strength; b) who get intimidated setting up even basic audio/visual equipment; or c) who are lazy (like me) and don't want to deal with running cables or power lines for a more advanced antenna.

Almost..
Picked up so much more than alternative antennas. Clear as day additional stations, but can't detect the major seven HD channel for one. Shame. It works so much better...

Found more channels than RCA antenna !!!
I was initially skeptical that this paper thin antenna was going to work at all but it found more channels than an RCA antenna I was using and the picture is HD quality clear. Suffice it to say that this antenna has made me a believer.

Good antenna but sticked not well to window
With this antenna, i'm able the get the channel that i couldn't with my previous rabbit ears antenna, plus i even get an extra channel that i didn't know exist.I don't use the provided cable. I followed others recommendation and upgrade the cable.Only problem, is the stickers to hold the antenna. They don't stick well to a window.

It works okay. Bring back the R paper one
This antennae works well enough. My issue is that I bought the Mohu paper one a year ago. It was made from recycled paper, was $30 cheaper and works better. The recent one is made of plastic. I have two - one is in a tougher reception spot (my suite has concrete walls throughout). I had to move the older, cheaper, paper one to the tough spot. The better paper one is unavailable/discontinued which is dumb.

comes with a good length of cable and works
Its small, "stylish", comes with a good length of cable and works. Unfortunately in my area from my house we only got about 9 channels, 4 of which were OMNI in various non-English languages, and 1 was I believe the shopping channel giving us 4 usable channels. We've decided to stick with cable at this point. If you live closer to a big city (we are ~60km away as the crow flies) this would work for you. Friends of ours are getting almost 30 channels with a similar antenna - but they are ~40km from the city and on the upper floors of a condo building.
