It is great for keeping my son's arm straight, prevents the hand from being in the mouth.... Really effective

We used this as an attempt to stop our 6 year old from sucking his thumb and it worked. Along with incentives each week, he was finally successful (after many times of trying)!! The Velcro stayed intact and he was able to pull on or off as needed. He did complain that his arm was falling asleep one time, so make sure it’s not on too tight! It kept his elbow from bending to his mouth, however, if he was thinking about it, he probably could have leaned his body down to his arm, while in bed, to suck his thumb, but he didn’t because he was truly trying to stop. Recommend!!

Our 5-yr-old has a condition where she chews on her hands too much. We need elbow splints to keep her hands out of her mouth and these ones (size small) work the best out of the many we have tried. However, the Velcro is pretty bad quality in that shards of it break off when you undo the Velcro. It doesn’t happen right away, but after a few weeks of use, it’s constant and leaves sharp plastic bits all over the place.

Product works great for preventing thumb sucking. Husband purchased it for his daughter and it does great! Bio mom says it’s a torture device which is rediculousness!

The splints are fantastic. Light weight, well made. However, the Velcro is complete trash.

I got this to help my son keep his fingers outta his mouth! It works! Although easy to take off, he hasn't.
