A magnificent design, if carefully installed
There's very little to dislike about this handlebar, aside from the importance of careful installation. I read/saw reviews of these here before installing and was careful about prep and also correct bolt torques. I used traction paste on the bars (sort of like a paste with little grit particles in it), and did a tiny amount of micro-shaping on the sharp square edges of the handlebar flanges in my stem. Just a little round off filing of those knife-edge stem flanges, where the stem edge can make a stress point for the handlebar if left there. I was delighted at being able to run my cables inside the bar, for a clean, sleek custom look. Again though, I did have to invest in a little cable/magnet tool here on Amazon, for guiding the leader thru the bar each time. I just love the ergonomics of this bar. At first I didn't fully comprehend, the key advantage of the bar's flat section. If one takes the time and effort to exactly position the brifters, you'll find you can literally use those flats as integrated 'highway bars' - without the weight and dorky look of those sticking out on your bike. It's a little cramped shoulder-spacing-wise when using them this way; but then so are highway bars. This handlebar is light as heck, but solid as a rock; and I've used it now for 6000 miles on my Aventon Soltera 7 which I converted into a road bike with this and a set of Shimano 2x7 brifters. Oh and the paint - glorious, brilliant in the sun, and supremely durable! Thanks for this wonderful product. I'd have paid twice as much or more - if knowing what I now know about how superior it is.

These bars punch above their weight
I like these so much that I bought them twice after the first pair cracked while getting bounced around on a bike rack behind a Sprinter XL van. I’ve ridden 1000s of miles on these bars, including a EuroVelo bike tour from Switzerland to the Straights of Gibraltar, across the Alps & the Pyrenees mountain ranges. They survived brutal climbs, wicked descents, chunky gravel, single tracking & even an unintentional railroad bed (there was no other way through). They were dissembled/ressemble multiple times for airplane travel across the Atlantic and the US and performed flawlessly. I appreciated the flat tops for those long days in the saddle when you need fight hand fatigue by changing up your grip from the hoods to drops & tops. Their light weight and internal routing compared to alloy bars make them a great value for money. They also did a great job packing the bars for shipment so that they arrived intact.

Stiff, Comfortable & Inexpensive
I did lots of research before purchasing these and was torn between the negative comments, but I went ahead and bought the handlebars anyways. First thing I noticed was how light these bars are, 91g lighter than my stock aluminum bars. Secondly, I had a smile ear to ear with the comfort of the bars which was my #1 reason for purchase. On long rides my stock bars made my thumbs fall asleep and would cause pain in the middle of my hands which is no good when you are on a week long tour. Thirdly was the price. Wow! How can you beat $40? These bars similar to Easton's are $350+...and there is the cool factor. I purchased the ones with no labels and have to say they look awesome. As for performance, I have logged about 80 miles climbing hills and the bars are solid. Little to no flexing anywhere I put pressure.

Great quality bars but...
I was really looking forward to my first ride with these bars. I ordered the bars to replace my Richey aluminum bars which I had for 10 years, with a PZ Racing CR2.2S Carbon road stem on a 2010 Cannondale Synapse. My first impressions when the bar arrived: - I was impressed with the build and construction of these bars - I bought the plain flat carbon fiber patten and loved the appearance - I bought the Jagwire Pro shifter and brake cable kits for this installation - I started to install the sift cable housing first, feeding it through the bottom of the inside to the outside where the levers are. as I feed the housing through I used a cut coat hanger to coax it to the other hole, but I think there is a better technique if you use the old cable and feed it through the housing, you can use a small magnet to grab the cable and pull it through the hole on the other side, then once you have the cable you should be able to push the housing to the other side wide pulling the cable enough to guide it through the hole. (hope that made sense) - I did the shift cables first then did the brake cables last Once installed I went out on a ten-mile ride and noticed a couple of things that everyone should consider: - depending on the type of bars you are replacing, your ride position will most likely change after this - if I could be critical about one thing about these bars is that both the shift and the brake cable can be routed through the same hole when exiting the brake/shift levers and unless you provide some kind of cushioning on top of those cables you will a have a bulge sticking out and it's going to hurt your hands over time or instead of routing them internally, you could go the traditional route them on the outside and underneath. I am considering this! - Another thing to consider is your ride position! with this setup, I'm going to need a shorter stem/move my saddle forward because this extended my reach Overall I gave these bars 4 out of 5 stars because of the build and the quality was great, but fell short due to the hole placement for the cable routing. I feel the product could be improved with a more direct line for the holes on the brake/shifter side.

Qualité d'un guidon de 400 $ vendu par la compétition. Remplace très bien le guidon d'origine sur mon vélo de course que j'utilise 6 fois par semaine. Un produit que je recommanderais à tout les cyclistes sérieux.
