Got stuck on a can lid
In theory, this is a great concept. I bought this can opener knowing it might not work long-term. Sure enough, after about half a dozen uses, it got stuck halfway through opening a can. I could not get it to go forward or backward, and I could not pry it loose. I was able to salvage some of the can's contents by forcefully using my hands to pry open the can top (with attached opener) and the can itself, but was afraid to use too much force for fear I'd hurt myself. In the trash it all went, and I'll go back to using a manual can opener.

Great can opener!!
Haven't used this one yet. Bought it for future backup. I currently have one i have been using for over 5 years and decided I better get a backup in case they become extinct. Both my husband and myself have arthritis hands so crank can opener is out of the question and we hate the kind that sit on the counter waiting to drop your can when used. Strong cutting edge - even opens heavy duty salmon cans! I do recommend highly and even gifted to my daughter's in the past and they still love them too!

Got six stitches
What a piece of junk. Within two weeks two sets of batteries. The release function doesn’t work right or just is not user friendly. The sensor mechanism on bottom stopped working while I was using to attempt opening a can. Release function again not working properly so stupid me grabs a knife to press the mechanism on the underside and hand slips... slice my hand open and received 6 stitches. Junk junk junk

Stopped working just before turning 1 year old
Overall liked the can opener. On those new non-metal cans it would collect tiny paper strips in the gears, I'd have to try to clean out. But the worst thing is that it stopped working and isn't even a year old. Very disappointing.

Convenient
Worked great for me after my hand surgery.

Slow
It works ok, but it is very slow and often continues going long after it has the can open. I wouldn't recommend it to someone else.

This did not work for me at all.
The reviews for this can opener were good..however, mine did not work. Due to an accident, I have lost use of one arm and hand. I could get it to attach to the can, but it moved very slowly. Before it was halfway around the can. Not only could we not restart it, it was impossible to get it to release from the can! My husband actually had to beat it off with a hammer! In a few days, I tried again and the exact same thing happened. Very disappointing.
