Did not meet my expectations at first, but now the have WAY surpassed and expectation I had
They weren't what I expected, I thought they'd be larger and proportioned a bit differently so when I received them I was a little disappointed, but instead of returning them I figured I'd just throw them in the tool bag and see what happens. Well let me tell you I use these guys every day. The Wouk great stripping and cutting larger gauge wire and the make a nice clean cut in 1/2 and smaller rf coax. I don't use the pliers as much but it's nice to have on there because every once and s while you need a quick plier.EDIT/UPDATE: These are hands down my favourite plier. If I'm doing anything wire/coax/electronic related I'm using these. Cutting wire they rock, stripping wire they rock, twisting and bending wire you guessed it they rock. They can cut up to 1/2" coax without much issue. The crimp comes in handy for smaller connectors and the actual plier part is very handy. At the tip the jaws are smooth so you can grab/bend stuff without marring the material, but a little further down you have teeth for when you really need to get a grip. Overall the best 60$ I've ever spent!

Would not buy again
This is one of the only tools I would not buy again from knipex. They are great quality but Klein makes a better crimped. Other than that I like them

Good but not great
This just arrived today so this is just my initial impression. The high quality is what you expect from Knipex. The jaws extend too far from the pivot to provide a comfortable range of grip on the handles. I have average-sized hands and the handles feel a little too close together for normal stripping and gripping work. However, to use the shear-type cutters on Romex, you need to spread the handles wide enough that I can just squeeze them between the base of my thumb and fingertips. The sharp bypass shear type cutters are good for Romex, but are definitely not for anything harder than copper. The 14 and 12 gauge stripping notches work well on THHN without nicking the copper, and in this respect the tool is definitely superior to the Knipex 13-01-614 electricians pliers. The outside edges of the jaws are square and can be used to ream 1/2" EMT conduit, but are just a little too small to work well on 3/4" EMT. The smooth jaw tips are nicely sized for looping wire for screw terminals. No comments on the crimper yet.

A joy to use
I have a weakness for exceptional quality and performance and knipex never lets me down. These in particular are very handy around the shop. They work as long nose and cable cutters and wire strippers and do all those functions well.

Knipex isn’t the best
Great for wiring outlets and switches, saves time and room in my pouch. Cut & strip with one tool. Knipex steel quality is unmatched.

envy
tool envy. for the 6guys at work i showed this to all got tool envy,( even one tryed to hide it). I am a diesel mech for the hiway dept. and i have mac and snap-on tools- this is an UPGRADE from my snap-on. i use a tool/service cart mostly and its packed, this can (and will) replace my wire stripers AND my needle nose.the handles are the same shape as you see with the rubber coating, not flat like most, so even when i would clamp hard and wear out the rubber it wont start pokeing out through the plastic,if i explaned that right. it does not have a stoper on the opening, so i can open the jaws all the way to the handle, and it it still snug.them germans, they make good stuff, if you look at the tip it is perfictly flat and straght. simply awesome

Go for the comfort grips or insulated grips.
Great tool . I have this style as well as the insulated . If you have larger hands go with the installed or comfort grip . The plastic dipped handles leave a bit to be desired since the tool has a slim profile, your hand will be sore after a good days use. Other then that they work excellent . Highly recommend.

Quality
Good tools, knipex is a very good tools companies.Pro: work very well, nothing loose, cut wire like nothing.Cons:because of the way crimper is instal, its very hard to crimp yellow stack-on correctly, you need 10x the force you use on other models, for the blue and red one its ok but yellow are bigger.Overall its little bit expensive but still working very well and its well made too.

Short handle
Very good multi purpose tool. Handle too short makes awkward. Might be better with insulated handle . Too expensive
