Monster High Skull Shores Black and White Frankie Stein Doll

I love Monster High dolls, and for a while I was only collecting the Draculaura dolls, because she is my favorite. But when i saw this doll i HAD TO HAVE HER! I always wanted the comic-con black and white doll, so i was so excited to see that they came out with a new black and white tone doll at such a reasonable price- something everyone can afford. Now to the features about her that I like: like all the other MH dolls, Frankies makes up is beautifuly painted, I love all her stitches as well, as well as her neck bolts. I think her outfit is super cute, and i LOVE her shoes that she comes with too! She also has a braclet included. Her hair is very stiff, so you cant brush it, and she doesnt come with a brush either. She does however, come with a stand with is great. I do wish she came with a few more accesories, but for the price she is, im not gonna complain. great addition to my collection!

This doll is amazing, I'm a collector of Monster high dolls, I currently own 15 of them.I have to say I just love this version of Frankie Stien.The doll is beautifull and well detailed, She is completely Monochrome.Starting from the head down she has beautifull styled hair, Although I recommend washing the gel out with hot soap and water, It's much nicer without it.Semi Metalic Makeup, And her stiches are also Metalic. Something small that amused me is that if you look closely at the bolts on her neck (That are silver on this doll) They've gone to the trouble of putting the Screw detailing on it and making it look like and actual bolt, Her outfit is in two peices, A swimsuit with a Skirt that wraps around it.She has earings but you can't see them that match her Shoes and Bracelete.She also comes with a stand.The doll is well jointed as all monster high dolls, And I was happy to see that all the joints on mine were tight, And I couldn't be any happier.This doll was supposed to be and exclusive so I have no idea how she winded up on Amazon for Seven bucks, But it's a well seven bucks spent. (At least that's what I paid at the time.)

Frankie Stein looks absolutely gorgeous in her Skull Shores outfit. Yes, it is really in gray-scale, doll and packaging. What a great idea! Whoever designs these dolls is extremely talented! The Frankie Stein comic-con doll is also in gray-scale but is an expensive collectors item. This doll, is a wonderful way to get the beauty of the gray-scale Frankie for a low price. The other thing I LOVE about this doll, is her hairstyle. They have given her a cute bob that curls under. She normally has long straight hair. I am an adult collector, and this doll is staying in her box, so I can't review the durability. But collector-wise, she is a MUST! I would suggest snapping this doll up fast before she gets as hard to find as some of the others and the price starts to go up.*side eyes certain amazon sellers*

After purchasing the Skelita and Robecca Steam dolls, I was impressed with their detail and beauty, so I decided to buy another one for my desk (I am an artist). I thought this doll was the way to go given the fact that she is gray scale (how unique, right?). The second I took her out of the box I was disappointed. Her hair is HARD AS A ROCK ... it's almost as if it were styled with glue. Parts of the lighter grey locks even have a yellow tinge (I'm guessing from whatever material they used to harden it). I suppose it's a good thing this doll comes with ZERO accessories (no purse, brush or diary), because her hair cannot be brushed or styled in any way. Her outfit is just meh, very cheap, plain and simple, and it lacks the detail so many other dolls have in their clothing. Finally, both of her thighs have awful seams running down the length with extra plastic, as if it overran the mold.Simply not good. She pales in comparison in every way to other dolls in this collection. Save your money.

This doll, and others within the monster high franchise are my 4 yr olds absolute favorite; I think I have purchased around 10 now! The one thing I feel that is sort of a letdown is the hierarchy of these dolls. The price of the doll will greatly improve the "wow" factor your child will have; my point is that this doll is a standard posing doll, with great humanistic likeness (aside from the detachable/interchangeable body parts), but again lacks the wow factor. The more expensive dolls in this franchise line actually have some sort of function, whether it is howling, push-button glowing, or some other eye-catching, "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy, look...look!"For the amount of money consumers pay for these toys, Mattel should make these dolls equal across the board, especially for the simplicity in adding a LED or pre-recorded voice chip; as well as prolonging the marketing of said franchise.This of course coming from a "gullible" daddy for his beautiful doe-eyed daughter!VrKeith
