Sturdy and well made. Flow stops and starts reliably evey time, makes filling bottles easy and fast. I like the stainless steel over the plastic wands more than I expected. Well worth the higher cost over plastic. A great product for my beer brewing hobby.

I should have gotten this a while ago. The last bottle filler I had was plastic. When trying to fill bottles, the tip would bend. Since this is stainless steel, it never happens. Clean up is even easier than the plastic. Everything unscrews and can be washed. It comes with a clean out brush. 5 Stars!

At first I had the same problems that other reviews have complained about where the flow was low, you needed two people to start the siphon, and it's basically impossible to get working on bottles that don't have flat-bottoms.I noticed while cleaning that the white o-ring on the inner plunger piece was causing a lot of interference in use. I tried taking it off and tested it for leaks with water and was surprised to see that it didn't leak more than a drop or two.After taking that white o-ring off the plunger part, liquids flow at an acceptable rate in all types of bottles and I'm able to start the siphon by myself using the auto-starter one-handed.

Just used this for the first time worked great , did not leak like the cheap plastic one i had before. Has a good strong spring, and easy to take apart and clean.

I was excited about this bottling wand. IT seems to be a great quality of stainless... But trying to actually us it is almost impossible. Try to stat the syphon takes at least two people and the flow rate is slow. IF the bottom of you bottle is not flat I suggest just giving up.

These stainless steel wands stand head and shoulders above the cheap plastic versions, and these aren't that expensive. The spring tip screws onto the wand, eliminating the tendency for the compression connection of the plastic wands to fall off during a fill. I don't know how many times I lost product all over my floor when this would happen.

You would think that an item that is mostly made of stainless steel would be incredibly sturdy. You would be wrong in this case. The bottle-filling mechanism started off OK, was not very good on my second batch and completely failed on the third. I just couldn't get beer to go thru it anymoreThe much cheaper plastic versions last much longer and have a more predictable stream of beer. This one was really fussy even when it did work. If you put it down in the very center of the bottle where the glass was nearly flat, it worked OK. If you were off to the side where it is sloped a bit, the stream was reduced to a trickle.This is probably my most disappointing brewing related purchase ever. I can't add a photo, I threw it into the garbage.

So much nicer than what came with my initial homebrewing kit. Leaves slightly more headspace than the standard plastic bottling wand due to its thickness, but everything else comes out on top. Faster flow. Breaks down for cleaning and comes with an appropriately sized brush. If you're going to keep bottling beer as opposed to kegging, this is a must have.
