Too Junky for Anything Other Than Miscreant Behavior
If you're eyeing this as a serious solution to generating some easy DC HV, please reconsider. What this outputs is BARELY DC. At best it's a sawtooth waveform. It may not "cross zero" to officially make it into AC territory, but this outputs a waveform that's probably not useful for powering vacuum tubes, Nixie displays, etc.It will make a frog's leg kick for sure, but that's about it.There is NO DOCUMENTATION whatsoever. Not even a slip of paper. You will have to watch a half-dozen online vids to get a sense of what does what, and much of the info there will be contradictory.And even if you do get it working, life expectancy isn't encouraging. The transformer often has to be glued to keep it from buzzing, and the electrolytic caps make the usual junky offshore caps seem spectacular.This is the "cheap stuff" your mother warned you about. Caveat Emptor.

OVERHEATS
There is not heat protection of amp limitation, if the low-voltage power source can deliver more amps that the unit can handle (e.g. solar panel) it will overhead and die in a puff of smoke.

78L09 is warned, if more than 30V IN
The reg of the 78L09 input is 30V MAX. The board input 16v to 32v. If 32v IN, the 78L09 will be damaged!!! I read that the 78L09 is best recommended 24V MAX by the datasheet. Next day, I will get the DC Boost Converter Module, High Voltage DC-DC Boost Converter board. I will test.

This does not give a clean DC out put
The unit goes into low frequency oscillation randomly it is totally useless for any sophisticated electronic circuit
