Perennial Farm Marketplace Calamagrostis a. 'Karl Foerster' (Feather Reed) Ornamental Grasses, Size-#1 Container, Yellow Spikes

Bought this ornamental grass last April, and a second from a different seller on Amazon. Also bought one at a local nursery. Grew them in containers and brought them indoors in the winter. The first ornamental grass grew very well. The one from the local nursery grew but not as well as the first. The third ornamental grass from a different seller on Amazon hardly grew. Recently, the first two ornamental grasses have sprouted new shoots while still indoors, but not the third. I have started to put the plants out on warm sunny day to harden them.

We ordered 30 plants to line our drive. They arrives two days earlier than expected, and were packaged beautifully. Each plant is a uniform size. They are bright green and look extremely healthy. We planted the day after we got them, and while the soil was a bit dry, and the pots were pretty root-boubd, it was easy to open the root ball enough for planting. They look amazing at this point, and it's now raining on my new grasses (that's a good thing! I'm glad they came early!)We are in the Northeast, and right now is planting time, but how these plants weather the winter remains to be seen.Over all, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. The plants were trimmed, wrapped and packaged three to a box, and the boxes are vented and sturdy. Without a doubt I would purchase plants from these folks again!

Came in with no damages, its very healthy and bright green. I would provide a photo but it pretty much looks like the grassy green plants that you see in the other 5 star reviews. I cant wait to plant this bad boy tomorrow! I end up ordering more plants from this place, and will most likely continue to do so in the future. Thank you!EDIT UPDATE: so after I purchase this plant, here are the results! I love it! Exactly as advertised. I guess this is a good pic to add onto all the other photos of this product. I live in the south and give it lots of water, grew impressively!Update update: looks good with my other plants! It grew beautifully but since it’s getting later in the season it’s not as bushy as earlier this summer ( I wish I took a pic at that time) definitely worth ordering!

The grass was cut down for obvious shipping purposes, but the parts that are left are still green in November! It also takes up the entire pot (rather than a small plant being sold in a bigger pot)! It was also packed very well in paper (no plastic in shipping packaging- only the pot is plastic). I have a dime placed next to the pot for scale. Everything is fantastic and I’ll definitely be buying more!

I’ll update this - the sellers are great!! The grass arrived in time of not early. The grass came mostly green but also some spotty brown leaves as well. Not sure what this means. I want to wait for the fall and I to next spring to give it a more accurate review. However - if these are hardy and survive and grow bigger that what they are- they’ll look awesome. They e already filled in gaps on my balcony. Hopeful they’ll survive.Update. All grass died after one season. Got them cause they’re hardy. Apparently not in zone 6a

The 2 plants I got are healthy and doing well. Disregard the package size in the description...they are not that big. Comes in a box suitable for 1 ft plants.

Plants arrived in good packaging, they were good sizes and healthy root development. Very happy with this order!
