A good resource but lacking some functionality
This book is a good resource for intermediate learners of Korean who want to understand and use idioms. I especially appreciate the free audio downloads from TTMIK, which is something that many of their books have. The book is sturdy and feels good in the hand; the paper is thick and has a matte texture that feels nice and doesn't reflect reading lights (perhaps that's unnecessarily detailed).I have a couple complaints. The first one is that there is no English in the table of contents (ToC); all the ToC entries only list the Korean. I think it would be more useful as a reference if the ToC also listed the translation because then I could find an idiom that matches with something I have in mind (in English). The second complaint is that the English translations of the example dialogues usually have a different translation of the idiom than the one given in the first part of the entry. For example, idiom #31 is translated on the first page as "a couple who is not shy about doing pulic[sic] display of affection." This is obviously wordy, but both of the dialogue translations use the phrase "love birds." This isn't always the case, but it happens in one out of five of the entries. The third complaint, and this is more a matter of taste than anything, is the artwork. Whoever this artist is, I think the way they draw people is creepy, plain and simple. The white pupil-less eyes make everyone in these illustrations look like an evil pod-person. I also think that some of the images don't relate well to the idiom that they're attached too, but most do.In short, I think that this is a useful book for learning common Korean turns of phrase, and it provides a good amount of material to study. It has some problems in terms of being able to reference it in both "directions" (i.e., English-to-Korean AND Korean-to-English), and the artwork is a pretty minimal value-add, but for the listed price, it's worth it.

10/10
The drawings make memorizing this fun and easy. Definitely would buy again although if your just starting out I would wait to buy this until you know the korean alphabet.

Where is it?
I'm sure the book is great, but I wouldn't know. I never received a copy after paying for it. Got lost in the mail or something 🤷♀️
