Works perfectly on my Honda Izy

This item replaced the original Honda carb. Straightforward fitting and no adjustments necessary.

Fitted this to a Honda izy 160 where the original carb has a fuel feed problem. Rather than overhaul the original I thought I'd take a punt on a replacement. It is not the same quality of materials or making as the original Honda part, I didn't expect it to be at this price. Essentially the same part though so was easy to fit, mower started first time and so far is iddling really well.

I own a Honda Izzy which is now 17 years old and looks as good as new. I change the spark plug, change the oil and air filter every other year and get the blade sharpened.It started to lose power, then rev, then lose power etc etc (rrr, rrr, rrrr sound). Quick Google and it looked like the Carb might be dirty. I’ve never taken one off / apart before, but quick YouTube and it didn’t look too difficult.I took a couple of photos as I was taking it apart to make putting it back together easier.Once apart it looked in good condition but there was a small split on the fuel hose and the two gaskets had perished. Went on Amazon to buy these three items and it was cheaper to buy this whole new carburettor package. Ordered at 5pm on Good Friday and it arrived the following day at lunchtime.The item itself looks and feels identical to the original (I was just thinking about using the fuel line and gaskets and using the original carb, but decided to replace everything. Took 30 minutes to do (was a little fiddly, but the photos helped).Think I read in a previous post that a Honda Replacement is £85. I’m sure this would be at least £60 to have replaced by a shop, so if you have a 10mm spanner and a pair of pliers (for the fuel hose clips), I’d give it a go yourself 👍🏼

Not suited to an auto choke Honda gvc160 mower. Made my mower over rev.

This product was exactly what I needed at a great price very easy to fit.

A local repair shop pretty much told me that my 2014 mower was not an economic repair, only a Honda carb would fix it plus labour costs. The bill would be more than I paid for the mower. For £12 quid and a new set of gaskets and spacers we're up and running (don't bother with the gaskets that come with the carb). Take your time, check out the YouTube videos and make sure all the gaskets and spacers are in the right places. Started 3rd pull once the petrol got to the right places and no adjustments necessary. Not the same quality as a Honda replacement but working just fine for less than the price of a new main jet.
