Paired quickly and easily with alarm.com.
I have a smart home system through a local heating & air company. The equipment they installed and the website used to control it is “alarm.com”. I wish I’d known their tricks before purchasing their system as, for one, they make it VERY difficult for you to find your own add-ons like outlets and sensors. I have tried to find they products they sell to the customers (like the intertek smart plug), but Intertek sells only to the “dealers” so the consumer is forced to purchase through the dealer middleman at a tremendous markup. We’re talking really big markup. Huge.I have searched and searched for the add-ons I want. While there are several brands of z-wave products available, many just won’t pair with the alarm.com system. Don’t know the science behind it but can assure you they just don’t pair. This Evalogik z-wave smart plug paired with my alarm.com system on the first try! No fuss. It was quick, easy, and it works! Super happy to have found this! Will buy more Evalogik products.

Inexpensive, so far reliable, integrates with Indigo
As I said, this unit is inexpensive compared to the competition. I had no problems whatsoever integrating this with Indigo Domotics (MacOS-based home automation server) as my Z-Wave hub. The server recognized the unit immediately and responds well to the on/off/dim commands.Follow the instructions and start adding the module to your hub before plugging it in. Once it is plugged in, it automatically starts sending signals to your hub's Z-Wave inclusion mode.Based on longer-term reliability which is yet to be determined, I may choose to buy more of these to replace the older, now-obsolete, and increasingly unobtainable Insteon dimmer modules that I have been using over the last fifteen years. Some of my older controllers are failing, so i will have to replace them with Z-Wave modules. These appear to be an excellent budget-minded alternative.

Works great.
I'm using this Z-Wave outlet switch in a Smartthings system. Everything works perfectly and it was easy to install. I've got this on a garage outlet I use to charge an ebike battery. Since the battery charger is cheap, I don't trust it not to overcharge to battery once the charging is complete so I use the Smartthings panel to tell the outlet to turn off x number of hours after I start the charge. I prefer Z-Wave devices like this as opposed to Wi-Fi. For me they are much more reliable and easier to install into my system. I also don't like having to have separate apps for each brand device. With Z-Wave, my Smartthings app controls everything and I can easily access my devices from Google Home as well.

Didn’t last
I purchased two of these in August 2021 to use with two different lamps, and as of January 2023, they are both failing. There’s something wrong with the dimming mechanism. Whenever I use Alexa to turn them off, they do turn off, but Alexa says something went wrong. Then when I turn them back on, I get the same error tone from Alexa, and the dimmers have been set to 1%. I purchased two of the same switches, but without dimmers, at the same time, and they are still working.I have a ton of smart switches that I’ve had for years longer than these two switches, and all of them are still working as well as the day I bought them. These switches are way too expensive to be failing after a year and a half.

Connected right up to my z-wave network
I use Home Assistant for my automation server and this switch had no issues being seen and joining my ever growing z-wave network. There are a number z-wave settings that this unit can be configured as. Currently the dimmer works well but I do not use the dim-on functionality as it seems that it takes to long to bring a light up to brightness once you turn it on from a z-wave command. The instant on do the proper dim level works much better. Great item.

Great Dimmers
I have 4 of these dimmers but 1 of them stopped working properly after a few months. I reached out and Eva sent a replacement very quickly. Great customer service!Instructions for factory reset included in the manual are not clear and other instructions online are plain incorrect. To factory reset you need to quickly press the button on the dimmer twice and then on the third press, hold it down for 10 seconds or until the light starts blinking, signifying it was factory reset/excluded. To re-include, start inclusion on your controller, them press the button roughly 3 times in the dimmer, light should flush quickly.FYI, on Hubitat, the driver for this dimmer seems to have a flaw and the dimming may be very erratic or not light at all. I recommend using generic zwave dimmer driver to avoid frustration and wasted time. If you added this device using the Eva driver and have issues, you must not only exclude the device, you must perform a factory reset per above before re-inclusion.

It works well w ISY I 994 ZW
This I write for my fellow ISY 994 Pro ZW users... I installed a z wave Schlage lock on an insteon network... so obviously the lock did not work.... I chose this as an additional ZWave item repeater... it works perfectly.... buy these 2 or 3 or 4 if the distance from the Schlague Lock is far from the ISY... think of it as creating a network of ZWave to enhance the grid of Zwave coms... these are the best because when adding Zwave units to ISY you really need to have it close to the ISY... (insteon allows to connect even if it is far away from the ISY... zwave has to be close for the first time adding... the closer the better... once added you can move it to the desired location just remember to "heal Z wave network" afterwards... try to build your se wave grid having some units... for me I needed 3 to achieve good connection to ISY but each case is different.

No fuss dimmer
This dimmer paired easily to my HomeSeer system and works very well. I love that it has low and high dimming thresholds so that I can cut out the dead range. The status light is fairly bright, which is something to consider if it will be in something like a bedroom, but luckily that can be turned off. What I don't like is that if I use the button to turn the lights on and off, it doesn't immediately notify the hub of the change. Not a huge deal for me though, because it's being controlled automatically.
