YETI Rambler Gallon Jug, Vacuum Insulated, Leakproof, Stainless Steel with MagCap

I’ve had this for about a month and a half now. I couldn’t be happier. I drink about 5 gallons a week and this 1 gallon yeti helps alot. Instead of carrying 8 water bottles that take up too much room, I use this yeti. Plus I kayak a lot. Lost my yeti and floated down the river. Found it 4 hours later floating and in tact. I’m super happy with it.

Holds water in Hot work truck ice cold for 2 days.

I have been using all types of Yeti products since they first came out this is the first one that does not keep Ice solid overnight even in cooler weather. The Yeti mug I pour this into has no problem keeping its ice overnight but this 1 gallon jug doesn't and I "season" it with just ice before using it every time so it is cool when I put it my fresh Ice and water.

So live in the desert in Southern California. It is 110 degrees as I am writing this review. I purchased this jug because I had to see what all this Yeti hype was about. Typically I would use the jugs that come as a combo with an Igloo ice chest cause I'm a cheapskate and did not want to throw the jug away. I have been thru many. Most would break from the handle and would replace them with another. After running out of jugs and seeing this metal handle I kinda got a little stiffy 😆. So I purchased it after drinking some alcohol to justify that I had saved enough over the years to get this one. Boy was I wrong. I deserved this jug a long time ago! The metal handle ended up being an extra feature along with the magnetic cap. My f'n water stays cold till I finish it at the end of the day. It sits in the van that can get over145 degrees, for over 12 hours and the last drop is cold! ❄️ something I have never experienced with any other jug. Previous jugs would take filling it up completely with ice (getting my family mad I would take all the ice in the morning) and then filling it with water for it to be warm at the end of the day. Now this one I fill it from a quarter to a third and it keeps cool all day. I can't tell you if it keeps cold longer like into the next day because I always finish it.

It keeps things cold for a long time. However, this thing is capable of cold fusion or something. Cold welding? Whatever.Basically, it'll seal itself shut. The large lid I mean. I used to use a rolling pin to open it, but it eventually broke. I now stick it between the gaps of an iron gate and twist the bottle to open it.I tried twisting it under a fridge to turn the lid, but it lifted the fridge. I tried a stove, it lifted the stove. I tried a car, but it was too time consuming to roll a wheel over the handle. Iron gate worked best.Also, the handle survived all that without being bent. So good quality. Water can tend to taste like soap after a while? I'm not sure about that soap thing though.

I only had it for little while and I love it. the only down side is that if you screw it on too tight you need the power of a god to un-screw it but I figured out out how to get a good seal on it with out struggling to un-screw when I need too for re-filling, other than that it is prefect and like you'd expect it keeps thing cold or hot for hours at a time and it gets me to drink more water because the water I just there at an arms reach and has no flavor ones you give it a good clean (no strong chemicals as instruction say) and has a magnetic cap holder, worth every penny in my opinion, so in conclusion I love this jug because it gets me thru the enterer day with out worrying about running out of cold water and is super sturdy as well, (can dubbed up as a cooler sense the neck of this jug is big enough to fit a caned beavered)

The only issue is how hard it is to open when refilling it, other than that it’s fantastic.

Bought this as a gift for my husband and he’s IN LOVE with it. He’s used multiple other water jugs and this exceeds all by far. Sturdy, easy to drink from, durable, doesn’t leak and is so nice. He has the black one and it’s even nicer in person than in the pictures.I do think it’s overpriced, but my husband says it’s an item he feels will last for a very long time and because we have multiple other Yeti items he feels the quality is second to non and worth it.So yes, we’d recommend this!

Great for my nature trips! I never run out of water!
