NRSV Slimline New Testament and Psalms Anglicized Black Imitation NR012:NP

Well-made portable NT in NRSV translation.
This is my EDC (every day carry) as they say in the weapons world. Nice proportions make it OK for the pocket or glove compartment. Paper is thin but not transparent. YES this has a SEWN BINDING and is a quality book. Reviews to the contrary are probably for another product. I have two of these, and they're both well-produced. I had a previous edition that I carried for years until it tangled with a tree branch while hiking and lost some pages (beginning of Matthew). I do wish you could just get a New Testament, sans Psalms. More weight is bad here. But that's the way it is. Btw the NRSV is an excellent combo of "good for study" and "good for reading." Also in this category: The NEB (New English Bible) and the Catholic NJB (New Jerusalem Bible). In my book, these are the three top renderings into English of the Word of God.

Nice!
Durable, synthetic leather cover that feels more like real leather than some that are. Single column, paragraph layout. Very readable type (black letter throughout- words of Christ not in red if that is something you like), uniformly printed from beginning to end on very nice, slightly cream colored gilded bible paper. Simple, plain and elegant to look at and feels good to hold in the hand. Very tight binding, that does not lay open flat- but this is not a study bible so that's not an issue for me. I think its the best pocket NT available right now.

Perfect size for a big faith.
Great pocket Testament for the believer who gets around in faith. I use this and have given many as gifts to young ministers for their visitation and use in travel.

Very nice synthetic cover. Good paper and printing. Wish it was wider with a 8 pt print.

Very Bad Quality
I was hoping for a replacement of one of these that I had purchased a long time ago and lost. When I got this one I was very disappointed. Glued in pages that felt like the spine would snap if opened more than 90 degrees (a bible that lays open flat is 180 degrees), or would just fall apart if the book was read frequently. Uneven covers as mentioned by another reviewer was the case with mine as well, very annoying. End of story is it's very bad quality and probably worth about $3 retail; and even at that wouldn't buy it.

Overpriced For The Quality, Expected More From Cambridge
Update May 24, 2018: Purchased another one of these and was disappointed. Again, expected more from Cambridge. The front cover extends further than the rear, and the end pages were not glued flush (see pictures). If this sits on the market for more than $15, you are definitely paying for just the Cambridge name and not the quality.---October 25, 2017: A bit overpriced for the quality. Cambridge bibles are great, but they could have done a bit better as far as quality or price. Considering for a little over double the price, one can find a decent complete OT/NT Cambridge bible made out of quality leather, you would think for roughly $22 this NRSV would come in at least the same cover material. The imitation leather is already warped toward the text block at the edges, probably due to how long it's been wrapped in combination maybe with heat (weather). The end pages are made of art/construction paper rather than typical glossy bible end page paper. The typset is good -- dark and legible writing, paragraph format, comparable to Scepter's compact RSVCE. Some of the gold gilding at the corners have started to already rub off on my fingers. Okay overall, but definitely could have done better for the price.
