Not my Dream Tarp but Ok
****UPDATE FROM 2020: So, four years later and probably 10 or so more camping trips using this as a ridgeline tarp (see the picture below), I can say the tarps has done decently. No, we take care of it: We dry it, sweep it off, and fold it nicely, and keep it stored in a trailer, inside of a garage, but I would say, we've taken care of it, and it has taken care of us. It has developed a few small holes that we have patched with duct tape. But, the biggest compliment I can pay it is, four years later, with reasonable care for the product, we plan to use it again! I have upgraded my review to four starsFirst: What kind of freak dreams of tarps? Well, I do, especially when I plan to use the tarp as pictured to provide a wonderful outdoor kitchen/hang out area for when it rains on camping trips. Basically, we needed a tarp that would be large enough to make a decent ridge-line, pole tarped area, heavy enough not to rip in a decent storm, light enough to work on a ridge line........Maybe I am asking for the impossible!Pros: The dimensions of this tarp were perfect. The tarp is a nice color that blends in naturally with campground surroundings. The corners are reinforced.Cons: The tarp IS light for this application. The grommet connecting the tarp to the ridge line ripped if memory serves me correctly on the very first set up (I have since learned how to set it up with less stress). So, in the end, this tarp has made it through about four camping trips, but I have reason to doubt it would withstand a decent thunderstorm due to my experience with the grommet. I wish the product were just a little thicker.

Quality Tarpaulin
It's a tarpaulin. It does what a tarpaulin does. It's pretty heavy duty, it's waterproof. I have a bunch of these, and I'm happy with them.I put them under my tent and hammock when I'm camping, I put one on the driveway when i work on the truck or do oil changes. It keeps oil off my driveway, and you can hose it off. It does rip or tear easily. If you put it under your hammock, and you jump outta the hammock, you won't get pine needles on your feet.If it's dark and late and quiet out in the woods, it makes a crinkly sound. If you're barefoot, and you laid the tarp over rocks, it will sting a little when you step on the rocks, but the tarp probably won't rip. Mine don't.So I'm gonna give this here tarp a buncha stars, because it's not a weak little tarp; it's a strong tarp. I use it for tarping, and I'm satisfied.

It Is What It Is! A lightweight Tarp
Well it is what it is. Nice price but don't expect a heavy duty tarp because it's not. But for me I got it for a ground tarp to pitch a tent on. For that purpose it works well but I would rake/sweep/pick up and sharp debris or rocks before laying this tarp out. It is thin material so I would not think it would last if it were left out in the sun/wind for extended periods of time. If you want durable you might want to consider canvas.

Disastrous Experience
As a professional couch potato, I was thrilled to discover the Stansport Reinforced Multi-Purpose Tarp, which promised to revolutionize my outdoor lounging experience. I eagerly ordered the product, expecting it to transform my backyard into a paradise of relaxation. Unfortunately, my experience with this tarp was nothing short of a disaster.First of all, let me say that the tarp is huge. I mean, really huge. I think it could cover a small country if you wanted it to. When it arrived at my doorstep, I was initially excited by the prospect of all that space. But then I realized that I had absolutely no idea what to do with it. I don't have a giant picnic table or a swimming pool or anything like that. I just have a few lawn chairs and a rusty old barbecue. So, I decided to improvise.I spent a good hour or so trying to figure out how to set up the tarp. I watched a bunch of YouTube tutorials and read the instructions carefully, but nothing seemed to work. Finally, in a fit of frustration, I just threw the tarp over my entire backyard and hoped for the best. That was my first mistake.Within minutes, the wind had picked up and the tarp was flapping around like a giant, angry bird. I tried to weigh it down with rocks and patio furniture, but it was no use. The tarp was determined to escape. Eventually, I gave up and went back inside, defeated.Later that day, I heard a strange noise coming from outside. When I went to investigate, I found that the tarp had blown away completely, taking my lawn chairs and barbecue with it. I searched the neighborhood for hours, but I never found it.In conclusion, I would not recommend the Stansport Reinforced Multi-Purpose Tarp to anyone. Unless, of course, you're looking for a good laugh and don't mind losing all your outdoor furniture in the process. 1 out of 5 stars. When choosing a multi-purpose tarp, there are several parameters to consider depending on your specific needs. Here are some of the most important parameters to consider:1. Material: The material of the tarp is one of the most important considerations. You should look for a material that is durable, waterproof, and resistant to tearing. Common materials include polyethylene, canvas, and vinyl.2. Size: The size of the tarp is another important factor to consider. Make sure to choose a tarp that is large enough to cover your intended area. You may also want to consider a tarp with grommets or loops around the edges to make it easier to tie down.3. Thickness: The thickness of the tarp is another important factor to consider. A thicker tarp will be more durable and resistant to tearing, but may also be heavier and more difficult to handle.4. UV Resistance: If you plan to use your tarp outside, you should look for a tarp that is UV resistant. This will help prevent the tarp from deteriorating over time due to exposure to sunlight.5. Color: The color of the tarp can also be important. A bright color such as orange or red can make the tarp more visible and easier to spot, while a darker color such as green or brown may be more suitable for outdoor use.6. Purpose: Consider the intended use of the tarp before choosing one. For example, if you plan to use it for camping, a lightweight and compact tarp may be more suitable, while a heavy-duty tarp may be better for construction projects.7. Overall, the best multi-purpose tarp will depend on your specific needs and intended use. Consider the parameters mentioned above to choose the tarp that best fits your needs.

It's good to protect the pool and the ground from
I have a 12 x 12 pool pool just had to fold 2 feet underneath. For it to be 14 x 14.

Good enough at the price point.
Although I purchased mine on some sort of sale, (4 for $9.72), I am only hoping for one or two good uses out of it. It is a temporary cover for stuff like wood chips, fire wood, fill dirt or the like. All tarps degrade in the sun and wind, plus I am not very gentle, (you ever fold an 8' X 10' tarp from a wheelchair?).Only opened one package to cover my '39 Mercury while working on it outdoors. It hasn't seen much rain or sun yet. But seems tough enough to get me through this summer season. At the now $8.00, they should be a little more hefty, but at my cost, I wish I bought 20 or more.

Not impressed.
As mentioned as long as you dont use the grommets it will work. The grommets rip out really easy and lost one within 5 minutes of putting it up. I also had a pinhole and a small slice in it when it was removed from the bag.Ps for the guy who posted about the birth defects. That is a stupid law in California. Pretty much everything has to have that warning if manufactured there.

Birth defects warning
Birth defects? Wouldn’t use this for anything that requires a lot of contact like a camping shelter. Good for covering furniture over winter

Well Made
This was a saviour on my portage trip.We used this immediately when we were setting up our campsite. It was used to cover our cooking area and near the tent. It was pouring rain all day and all night. It held up well without leaks and is good quality.

You may not get what you pay for!
As stated I like the product, and my only regret was that the tarp was a royal blue, not green in color. To many people this may not be an issue, but in my case I wanted green for as reason. I wanted to be as inconspicuous as possible, not loud and easily seen. For the price I will not put up a stink, but I do wish you got what you paid for and not what you received. That kind of service makes me not return business to this vendor since they cannot be trusted to send you what you buy.Other than the color, the quality, size, grommets etc., are all excellent and a person can make many different types of shelters from a tarp of this quality and size. Stealth camping is out the window!

Not so “reinforced” tarp
I took this tarp on a camping trip and the day we set it up it immediately ripped on multiple sections. We used bungee cords and rope to tie the tarp to the trees and immediately the “reinforced” side started to come off. It ripped even worse on the side with no reinforcement where I couldn’t use the slot at all. The tarp stayed up in the night after we worked some magic but overall it was very poor quality.
