Sturdy and attractive
This is a much more attractive grab bar than the standard handicapped bars you see out there. It is sturdy and was easy to install.

Sturdy and elegant!
We wanted grab bars that worked well but did not look institutional. These are perfect. The 9" size feels good and because it is all one piece, it is very sturdy. We installed one by the tub (as shown) and one by the toilet. They are very easy to install. The value is excellent.

Almost Perfect. Highly Recommended.
Great product for our needs -- solidly constructed as one piece, shorter (12" total length & 8" grab bar), smaller diameter for smaller hands (approx. 1" diameter), shiny chrome finish, and nice looking like a towel bar. One concern - the 2.5" screws included were too short to securely install all the way through tile+sheet rock+wood studs. We needed to purchase 3" stainless steel wood screw #10 diameter. Requires 6 screws. Installed vertically on the outside of the shower. So far so good. Will revisit this review in a few months.

Nice "Hand Grip"
As noted, this is called a Hand Grip, not a Grab Bar. It come with 6 2-1/2 screws and installation instructions.Needed are: 1/8" drill bit and drill motor a Philips screw driver a a stud finder.The instructions state that this bar will hold 250 pounds with at least 2 screws at each end.The instructions are clear as to how the bar is to be installed!If installing into the long face of a 2x4 stud, All 6 screws can be used. Otherwise use 4 screws on the side of the 2x4. "Follow the Instructions"...It helps to use a fastener lubricant like "Akempucky" but Amazon can supply "Fastener Lubricant under another name. The fastener lubricant will prevent screw damage when driving into a hard fir 2x4. Removing a broken screw is not fun...
