Bernat Velvet Yarn, 10.5 oz, 1 Ball, Shadow Purple

Pretty color and very soft

I LOVE this yarn! I used it to make a scarf and I simply love it, it is so easy and nice to work with. So soft. I have no complaints, this is my favorite yarn. (My only caveat is that if you are a beginner at crochet, this might not be a good starting yarn as it is hard to see the stitches)

I searched high and low for the perfect Eeyore color. This was it. It’s super soft and I felt it was easy to work with. It could be considered “slippery” because it’s so soft. I personally loved this yarn. It made my project easy to complete and I would classify it as a wonderfully velvet yarn. I did have difficulty making my magic rings, but if you work with velvet yarn, that’s not uncommon(especially if you’re me). Still, 10/10 recommend.

This Bernat yarn is unique. I've never found anything so soft. I make afghans and my family love them. Even the teens ask for them. The blankets turn out really heavy, so I can only make them in the winter. The yarn stretches, so they don't hold their shape and I often have loose stitches, but no one seems to care. I wish there was a better color selection.

I managed to make an absolutely gorgeous scarf. This yarn is soft and the colour is magnificent. However the entanglement is insane. There is a great deal of loops and ends that pop out and I thought that they were due to my errors. Upon research, these are common characteristics of velvet yarn- they work well with front and back loops and other simple stitches. On the other hand, I have also made a scarf from a velvet yarn from another brand and there was a great deal of shedding during and after the project so the Bernat brand is definitely superiour as I had to undo some stitches with continuous popping out but the yarn did not shed. I have not washed the scarf as yet as it is a gift so I suggest you read more reviews re: washing and results. I will buy this yarn again but with more awareness of this product.

This was pricy, but so soft.

I used this to crochet hats and scarves with and they turned out great. Very soft and a beautiful color. My granddaughter is in love with the hat and now my daughter wants one too! There is a lot of yarn in this and fun to use. Have to crochet fairly tightly so it does not make loops.

This yarn is soft, perhaps a little evil, but mind bogglingly soft and perfect. I was previously unaware that yarn this soft existed before i bought this. Used it to make a scarf for my boyfriend but quickly fell into an abyss of softness. (I will steal that scarf back asap.)It likes to slip and might have a mind of its own at times, but the end product will be worth it1 ball should be enough for a good scarf, mine ended up being about 4 inches wide and 6 feet long and i still had some extra left over.
