Excellent value
It's a good starter pick up for the price. But there are some comments, which suggest that some posters don't realise, that any acoustic guitar with any form of pick up, could sound poor, plugged into an amp used for electric guitars. This is why you need a Acoustic Guitar Amp. With this pick up on my guitar the high tones from the top E an B sound louder than the lower E, A and D. With a proper Acoustic Guitar Amp, you can rectify this.

Fits nice to sound hole via clamps
Nicely surprised how good it sounds and how cheap it was. Using with iRig guitar audio input to GarageBand

What a bargain.
I needed a pick up for an old guitar I was bringing back to life and having previously taken off a high grade sound hole pick up and used it elsewhere a replacement at low cost needed to be found. This particular unit was cheap and looked as if it would fit the soundhole on the old Faith Saturn. It arrived quickly by Amazon delivery and amazingly it fitted the guitar without any mods. I had to refit a strap button to hold the jack socket which is standard style on this pick up. I ran it through a desk then through a THD head and Marshall 1960 4x12 . It was astonishing! I look forward to running it through a Fishman EQ with volume control as the pick up needs a little taming. For the money this is really interesting and the results so far are very good.

Not suitable for classical or other nylon-strung guitars.
I bought this to get some volume on my guitar when playing in church services unamplified. I found it difficult to get any sound from it, although knocks were amplified!! Unfortunately, I modified the fixing so that it would fit the sound hole of my guitar, so can no longer return it I'll put it to one side in the hopes that someone might be able to use it!!I've given it 3 stars as it looks to be a nice piece of equipment, and obviously should work on a suitable instrument. I've deducted 2 stars because the information given in the description was inadequate, and I had to "ask Rufus" for more information.
