I’ve pulled on the Texas and rogue deadlift bars. This doesn’t feel exactly the same, but comparable. Not super aggressive knurling, but aggressive enough. Starts to whip around 450+ which is where a deadlift bar should. While I can’t lift 750, I have no doubt the bar is up for the task. I’ve been using it in my home gym for the past year and I have no regrets in my purchase.

I honestly wasn’t expecting a lot, especially at this price point. But I needed a deadlift bar, and everyone else was out of stock so I went for it. I haven’t had it very long (will update if anything changes) but for right now, I am super happy with it. The knurl, while not rip-your-hands aggressive, is plenty grippy to ensure a non-slip grip. It’s at least as good as my name-brand power bar. It has great whip, and feels great to pull. This bar came very well packaged (even styrofoam inside the box, which no other brand I have bought from has done!), and arrived pretty fast.

Update: This is one of 3 valor bars I own, and it seems that the issues with this particular bar are isolated. Valor stands behind their product and resolved this issue, I recommend this bar and this company.This is a decent deadlift bar for non commercial, minimal use. I have had my bar for a little over a year now. It has been used for competition training and regularly see’s 700+ lb deadlifts. With this being said, the valor deadlift bar has some flaws. The zinc coating is very thin and vulnerable to rust. It has been treated with oil per recommendation every 2-3 months, and has chalk removed with a generic disinfecting wipe. When contacting customer service I was asked what I use to clean the bar, and when I replied was told “we do not recommend Lysol or similar wipes” however it is at times necessary and was only used in occasion to remove chalk while also using a recommended plastic dish brush for the knurling. Again, the bar is treated with oil in regular intervals as well which should be more than enough considering the advertised less corrosive zinc coating, I cannot “clean” a bar with oil alone. The collars have peeled significantly, another quality flaw as I have other bars both cheaper and more expensive that have maintained their collar coating with similar use. The rust in the knurling is now rather extensive and is actually pitted in one area outside of the knurl as seen in the pictures. This is my greatest concern as it could lead to a break under heavy loads. It is also notable that the bar has developed a VERY minimal bend. When reaching out to customer service it was recommended that I send a video, however this degree of bend is truly very minimal and truly only perceivable in person. My greatest concern is that the bend may become more noticeable over time. I will follow up if the bend progresses to a point that it is easily visualized via video. Sadly, I cannot recommend this bar to a competitive level athlete as it has not held up to my standard over the course of roughly 18 month. Customer service is punctual and responsive.

Thank you for making this deadlift bar and also for making it affordable. Its a perfect bar to deadlift with, its got great whip to it, the right amount of knurling, and its easy to grip. This is the only bar I deadlift with now and It makes deadlifting enjoyable again. I've added weights and reps to my deadlifts with this bar. Its very durable also.

Great product at a great price. No frills about it, but the perfect knurling and bar width for a good grip at 27mm without tearing up the hands. For the price it is, its a very reliable deadlift bar that gets the job done.

Great knurl, decent whip. Quality of the build was better than I was expecting. Would recommend.

Feels great in the hand awesome whip... Id put this bar up against of the top bars out there. 5 stars
