Great Reproductions
I haven't read the essay yet but the reproductions are excellent in this handsome book. I am unfamiliar with much of Sugimoto's work but from what I have seen over the years this seems a good starting place for anyone who wants to get a feel for his photography.

one of my top 3 favorite photography books. large, beautifully printed pictures, lots of accompanying text by the artist, many photographs. superbly printed and bound.

Beautifuly produced catalogof Sugimoto's works. Paper is highest quality and images are perfectly reproduced. Any lover of photography must own this book.

This book is exceptional - truly beautiful quality - it really is a must have for anyone who is interested in photography - a superb volume.I disagree with the comments that the images are too small - it's a book for God's sake - the images are stunning and each given a dedicated page.

Una antologia interessante
Il libro, molto corposo, presenta un panorama dei diversi momenti creativi di H. Sugimoto, ormai noto particolarmente per la foto di copertina di un CD degli U2... Ma tutta la produzione presenta aspetti originali di assoluto interesse. La stampa è molto buona; personalmente non amo i libri molto grandi e pesanti che influiscono sulla maneggevolezza del volume. Ma questo è un aspetto personale e comunque secondario rispetto alla qualità delle opere...

Un capolavoro minimalista
L'artista e le sue opere sono facilmente reperibili sul web per cui o piace o non piace.Tuttavia calcolando il formato delle opere reputo che la dimensione della stampa sia troppo piccola, avrei preferito che il libro fosse almeno il doppio come dimensioni

Mich hat dieses Buch sehr berührt in seiner Gesamtheit, schlicht und schön, so wie das Werk des Meisters! Seine Seacapes sind unvergleichlich beeindruckend. Das Buch illustriert das perfekt beherrschte Handwerk der Fotografie und die Besessenheit des Künstlers Perfektion zu erreichen!
