Excellent overview of Persian Gulf War
Great job of surveying the political chronology of events leading up to the war including insights from Saddam’s strategic motives revealing the selfish decision to use his military for an economic gamble which he lost.

Glossed over what the ground troops did.
Very little was mentioned about the ground units and what they did. There is little about what a units went through. This only gave an overview of the war.

This e-book explains the many pieces one may have missed in the run-up to the Gulf War and the events that took place
I read news articles about the Gulf War and watched the television documentaries during the Gulf War. This e-book explains the rationale for Saddam Hussein’s gamble that he could take over Kuwait. I think a lot of Americans (myself included) wondered why we did not remove Saddam Hussein from power. This book explains that the United Nations only wanted us to remove his troops from Kuwait. I find it interesting that with all of the modern technology we use to fight the war that almost half of the coalition fatalities were due differently fire. This e-book explains the pieces that many of us missed while living through the events of the Gulf War. I highly recommend reading this book for that reason alone.

Book? I've read larger pamphlets.
Full disclosure: I did not fully read the description with this "book" and was disappointed immediately. I needed to use a micrometer to measure the width. No author should have been a red flag. The pages are not numbered, the photo captions are a joke in most cases, the size is about the same as a high school senior project, and there are NO MAPS! What kind of history book, especially one with battles, does not have a map to illustrate the strategies and movements between the combatants. Some of the pictures are good but many are terrible and some are irrelevant. I will likely only need to spend 20 minutes to read the entire "book". The reviews are a bit misleading as I thought I was going to get a quality product. This might make a great $0.99 ebook however, I sorely spent ten times that for this disappointment. Avoid if you are looking for a real treatment of Desert Shield and Desert Storm; I thought I was purchasing a Patriot and received a SCUD.

Another great history book.
Charles River Editors has done it again. I remember the evening news with the head General showing a picture of a bridge in Iraq and saying "This is one lucky man". It showed a truck crossing the bridge after the guided bomb had been launched, the truck just cleared the bridge when the missile struck.
