I absolutely love this knife! It is exactly what I needed for hard to reach areas, small tight areas, and smooth shaping. It came razor sharp (as all their knives do), and it has held it's edge through tons of use. A strop here and there is all it's needed, but it doesn't even need that as frequently as other brands I've owned. I'm a loyal customer for their knives and gorges! Excellent value for money. The price is remarkable, especially considering the high quality. The handle is comfortable, large enough to hold, and easy to grip, despite my worsening carpal tunnel.

BeaverCraft knives are my go to knife You do not have to fall in with the fellers buying $150-300 made knives. This knife came sharper than a razor and can hone on leather during work easily. will buy another style soon.

Good starter carving knife, the blade will chip if you are hard on it but for the price I can’t complain.

This is my favorite for whittling. I am just really getting into whittling and have a bunch of different knives that I use but this is my go to. It takes and edge easily and it holds it forever almost if you use it right. It’s definitely breakable if used improperly but I’ve had knives from other companies that snapped easily. This knife is made of better steel. If I only had on whittling knife I would choose this one.

Ordered this carving knife to see how well they are made. After receiving knife, used it on Tupole wood Christmas carving. Nice sharp blade. Good feeling handle for my extra large hands. Good quality for the low price. A good knife for seasoned or beginners carvers.

This is a very good product for the money

I would say it is an okay knife for a good price. Even as a beginner I notice that it gets dull fairly quick and that the blade is thick. The thickness and the scandi style grind make it unnecessary difficult to get the knife deep as it needs to push a lot of wood to the sides. Compared to a thinner knife that cuts through the wood instead of splitting it. It might be a good knife if one just wants to get a feel of what whittling is about. But I would anyways recommend getting a high quality knife from the start, the carving becomes a lot more fun.

The handle is comfortable and allows great control of the carve, the handle of a carving knife is just as important as the blade in my opinion. The blade itself is bevel ground with a very shallow angle, so it's sharp as heck out of the box and easy to sharpen because the single angle of the bevel allows easy hand honing. The tip is very fine and as some have pointed out can bend if the knife is dropped, so don't drop it. In normal carving I haven't found the blade bends.

The knife was pretty sharp out of the box and I found it easy to re-sharpen. Also its handle is comfortable. Overall, great product for its price.
