The bristles are quite short and very soft. If your hair is even remotely thick, I would choose something else. I cant get through my hair very easily. I have to brush over and under a lot! UPDATE ** The company contacted me and refunded me immediately! I was willing to eat the money since it's not their fault that my hair is so thick! This company clearly cares a great deal about customer satisfaction!!!

I like the boat bristles, they do make my hair shinier after brushing. The long bristles are helpful to get to the bottom of my thick, wavy hair. Only thing is that when I use this brush for blow drying, I can smell the base rubber material smell a little so not sure how good it is for my hair or how long this brush will last, but for now seems pretty good.

If you/the intended have hair that is wavy or tangles easily, this isn't the brush for you. It probably does a good job on straight, fine hair, but the bristles are too short even for our young daughters which means that it doesn't do more that straighten the superficial hair, despite repeated passes. It's sturdy and good quality, just not the right brush for us.

I absolutely love this brush and I saw a difference in my hair instantly! My hair looks smoother and has more shine at the ends than prior to using the brush. Also, I love the metal comb to thread out the hair from brush; it keeps the brush clean.

Bristles too short. I have thin hair & this brush doesn't even get to the scalp.

Total waste of money. I don't know how anyone gets this brush to go through their hair. It just skims the surface and the bristles don't actually go through the hair. Loved the little tool included to clean brushes though.

This brush is well made and works wonderfully on my long hair whether dry or wet. It's great at getting out small tangles as well. I do recommend.

i needed to replace a lost boar brush and was not willing to pay almost $200 to replace it. this brush brand is just as goo and the wood is very nice. next year i will be gifting this brush to my daughter and granddaughter. the little wire comb to clean the brush is a great idea.
