IT WORKS!
I received this product when I was told I'd receive it ... to the day ... which was important as my trip to cemetery was scheduled for the following day. I cleaned a small flat stone with 30 years of weathering. I knew what to expect from other reviews ... definitely takes some elbow grease and multiple applications. I used 1/2 of a bottle. I forgot to bring a brush and Q-TIps (which would've been very helpful) but managed with paper towels, rags, and a gallon of water. May even use some toothpicks next time. I don't recommend paper towels. They were fine initially for removing the worst of the dirtiness but continued use resulted in the paper towels falling apart and getting into the lettering which you subsquently have to clean out. I've attached before and after photos. The darkness around the lettering in the 'after' photo is just fact that stone had yet to totally dry before I took a picture. I trust that within the hour of me leaving, the stone was completely dry as temps were HOT when I used it. I noticed a strong 'industrial' smell when I was spraying the stone so stay upwind when spraying. Definitely wouldn't want to use this product in an enclosed space. Other reviews talked about the sprayer not being that good and recommending using your own spray bottle. I did experience some issues while spraying. Seemed like the more I used it the more difficult it became to use. What I think I determined was that the spray head would get wet, my finger would slip over the top and get in the way of the stream and just made it more difficult to spray since everything was 'juicy'. I simply dried off the sprayer head when necessary and began again which worked fine. I was very happy with the end result and will likely purchase again after I've depleted the rest of the bottle I purchased. Two thumbs up!

Water first then Spray
This product works great, and on all headstone surfaces - dull, shiny, ancient white. I found the best way to use it to get lichen and black spots off is to first pour water over the area then spray then leave sit for a few minutes.I then use a combination of a large hand brush, a set of mini brushes and wooden skewers to scrape and scrub everything off. The skewers work great for cleaning out lettering and etched edging. Some older stones may take a second application, but I've found that one application of KleanLogik Headstone cleaner plus some elbow grease makes the stones look almost new every time. For those who like the 'antique' look, just scrub less. I then wipe down with a soft washcloth .I've found it's so much nicer to see all the details after scrubbing off the lichen and other debris, as many of the older headstones have lovely designs on them.Pro Tip: To really get them looking nice right away, especially the smaller markers, I finish by blowing them off with a leaf blower - it cleans out any etched wording and decoration, and dries them off so I can see how nice they look afterwards. I also believe it helps to slow any future growth, blowing off residual green bits to keep it from re-sprouting right away.

It Works. It's Inexpensive. And We All Felt Better After the Cleaning
My parents have been dead for twenty-five years. They purchased their headstone before my father died, so the headstone is at least twenty-six years old. To my knowledge, it hasn't been cleaned during that time. I'm there several times per year and didn't notice a need to clean it until recently: all of a sudden it was just dirty. Embarrassingly dirty. I went home, opened Amazon, and started looking. The professional cleaning products are close to $100. This costs a tenth of that. What the heck: try it, right? The worst that can happen is that you're out $12, right? We used it this past Sunday. Cleaning requires more elbow grease than the manufacturer lets on (although a lot of dirt and grime accumulates in a quarter-century). My sister and I and used about 2/3rds of the bottle, and the headstone looks great. Please note that this is a CLEANER, not a RESTORER. Marble outside in the elements for twenty-five plus years shows wear. However, we left there with a great feeling of accomplishment and pride.Several hints: Follow the directions, that is, let the product soak in for at least a minute every time you apply it; bring a spray bottle full of water, a soft brush (like a hand-held sponge brush), a roll of paper towels, and a rag (we used the ones you wash cars with); and bring Q-Tips to clean inside the etching (!). And repeat several times using what my mother described as "elbow grease."I recommend this product.

UPDATE: Works better with time, see pix
It takes the growth off the smooth surfaces easily, but I did a lot of scrubbing with a stiff brush and scrapping with a plastic scrapper to get it this good. The lichen were stuck like rock on the smooth part and after soaking they scrapped off easily...not so much on the textured part. You can see by my pix you can clearly read the stone now. I used almost all my cleaner on this 1 stone. If you want to do multiple stones get a larger bottle. The results were not that impressive at first, but I came back and changed it to 5 stars and loaded an updated photo.

You have to use a wire brush but it still won’t bring it off
Does not work

Easy to use
Just spray on and wipe off, what could be easier. I bought to use on my sister's headstone and my brother kept asking why I needed it, however after I finished he admited he could see a difference. It was the first time it had been cleaned with anything other than plain water since '99
