My family loves this stuff, which is rare when you’ve got six different palettes sitting in judgement at the table. My family line is German, so I grew up eating variations of this sauce. Sometimes, they sucked. What I love about this is the consistency of flavor. Once I nailed down the instructions it became one of the easiest family dinners on the menu. For those that are struggling with the translation, this is the basic recipe:One packet of bolognese mix.6 to .75 pounds of ground beef (turkey and sausage can also be used)250 ml of water (about one cup)For us, I use two packets of mix, 1 1/4 pounds of lean ground beef, and 1 cup of water plus one cup of the water I make the pasta in. Brown the meat, add water, then add the mix. Season to taste after letting the sauce simmer for ten minutes.

Maggi’s Spaghetti Bolognese is very good.The instructions are in German, but don’t let that stop you.Spaghetti Bolognese is very easy to make.Brown one half pound of ground beef or pork.Drain excess fat from browned meat.(At this point I remove browned meat to a small pot.)Add one cup of water and contents of Maggi Spaghetti Bolognese packet to the browned meat.Bring to boil. Reduce heat.Simmer 5 to 10 minutes. Stir occasionally while heating.Cook one half a pound of pasta until done.Mix and enjoy.

I started using it a while back. It’s still just as speedy as before; previously, it was 8 for 4, and the delivery took a bit longer since it shipped from Germany. Now that Amazon offers it, the shipping is much quicker.

I had to use Google to translate the package's German language instructions and I'm not sure I didn't miss something. The mix is OK if you want something basic and rather acidic. I mixed it with a basic grocery store bottle sauce, and it came out OK. Its only advantage, outside of translation requirements, is that it is fairly quick to prepare.

I use 1/2#gr beef…1/3# gr Italian sausage and a little fresh garlic. Also 1/2t each terragon and fennel seed. YUM!!
