The best guide to the Cotswolds
I have found this to be, by far, the best guide to the Cotswolds. I used the companion Trailblazer guide to successfully walk Hadrian’s wall. Specifically I appreciate the bite sized maps and colored photos of the flora and fauna. I have every guide to the Cotswolds (and find something useful in all) but Trailblazer is the one I take with me. It’s a long way from Las Vegas to England; I have to be selective.

Needlessly "comprehensive" but the actual guide part is useful
Way too much detail on stuff I don't need (50% of this book is unnecessary for anyone used to walking in the UK). Do we really need to be told to "take a waterproof"? Do we really need to be told that you should wear your boots in before using them on a long walk? Do we really need the opening hours of virtually every shop in every village en route? The detailed sketch maps at the rear are very good indeed and the possible accommodation is well described and is easily findable with the maps. Just so much unnecessary stuff that doubled the size/ weight of the book.

A walking ‘security blanket’ for the Cotswold Way!
The detailed handdrawn-esk maps were great. The attention to details (like little landmarks of “lone oak”, “barns” & “monuments” along the route helped keep knowing where I was at all times. Found it much easier than a OS map. And comparing this book to other editions, this is the most recently re-walked version.I think it just depends on what type of map you prefer to read/use when out on walks. But I recommend this book!

Handy and fits in pocket
Easy to read, even for me as I can never understand maps, but this, makes sense and I didn't get lost

Complete
Everything you need to know is here. The maps might look basic but, in reality, they are more useful than an OS. Perfect book

A comprehensive guide to the Cotswold way
Great guide book, full of useful information and small enough to carry on the route. If your planning on walking the way in stages, or all in one go, this is full of useful info, including itineraries, suggestions for accommodation, and transport options. It may feel too comprehensive for seasoned walkers, but for those unfamiliar with the area, it is a must read.
