Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs Leg Makeup Spray | Lightweight, Transfer-Proof, Water-Resistant | Deep Glow | Airbrush Finish

I don’t normally write reviews, but this product had so many reviews that threw me off when reading them, that I thought this review might help. First, I want to say that this is an excellent product if you understand what it is and what its purpose is. This is a body makeup, not a sunless tanner! While it can, and does give a sun kissed glow like a sunless tanner, its uses and properties are vastly different. I got the “fairest” shade and it makes my very light skin look nicely tanned. It’s not a deep dark tan, but very close to my normal sun-tanned shade. I bought this product because, after multiple pregnancies, I have many unsightly veins on my legs that make me self conscious when my legs are visible. So let me highlight this product: 1.) It is a water resistant makeup foundation. It is not totally soap proof so you might see minor steaks after showering, it is not at all difficult to touch up and blend the streaks out. 2.) It is buildable until you get the coverage you need, or desire. The color does deepen the more layers you put on. I don’t find it necessary to use more than two layers. 3.) Since it is not a sunless tanner, it dries quickly and does not rub off on clothing once it is dry. Many reviewers mentioned mixing it with other lotions or lotioning the areas you normally lotion before using sunless tanners (elbows, knees, around feet and ankles, palms). This is not necessary or recommended. I believe this contributes to the many reviews that complained of it rubbing off. The other lotions disturb the adhesion of the foundation. 4.)The color you achieve after putting it on is the color it will stay. It does not develop over time like a sunless tanner. This makes it very easy to get flawless even coverage. The coverage I have achieved is not complete coverage, (I don’t believe you could cover a tattoo with it), but it does vastly improve discolorations and unsightly veins. The improvement is enough that I feel comfortable when my legs are visible. 5.) While it is marketed to the legs, this can be used beautifully on any area of the body including the face. 6.) It can be easily exfoliated away when you are finished with it. 7.) No special care is necessary when using your hands to put it on. It will wash off your hands with soap and water. 8.) I have received many compliments saying my legs have never looked so good!

Omg this stuff is a LIFE SAVER!!!!!! Which might seem dramatic but omg it literally changed my life!!! It's soooo hard for me to get my legs tan, like impossible, and I'm outside with my baby a LOT, so I feel super embarrassed about my totally ghost pale legs and to make matters even worse I have kinda bad varicose veins so I would pretty much never wear shorts and I'd just be hot and miserable or if I did wear shorts I was so self conscious and miserable 😥 but omg the last couple summers have been life-changing due to b.tan Glow Your Own Way self tanning lotion and this Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs in Deep Glow!!!! I put the b.tan Glow Your Own Way on pretty much my whole body and face every night after my shower and that gives me a great brown tan really easily, and then when I go anywhere I simply spray the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs into my hands and then onto my legs and OMG it literally does like airbrush your legs, it's unreal, it gives me a deeper tan color and covers my veins up almost completely!!!!! Omg it's like the best products to use together, if you're looking for a good really really easy tan do this whole routine or if you just want to use the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs it'd probably be ok by itself too, but I really really like using them together. But omg this Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs is EVERYTHING!!!!!! This product should get a prize!!!!! I did try the 'medium glow' variation one time because it was cheaper than the 'deep glow' thinking it'd be about the same but the medium gave me almost an ashy look, like I didn't like it and I was like omg what am I going to do but I just put some lotion with it and it's at least usable that way but I'm definitely sticking only with the 'deep glow' because the deep glow never ever looked ashy, it always looked perfect and like supple. Love this Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs in Deep Glow!!!!!!!!! Please if you have pale legs with varicose veins like I do you'll be soooooo happy with this routine I'm telling you about it's like changed my summer 🙂

It does NOT cover spider veins, this is NOT full coverage by any means but does dull the appearance of them. Was disappointed since this is why I purchased it. Comes out orange color, you REALLY need to blend it in. First used my hands, then a brush I purchased for applying and the brush works much better, would highly recommend using a brush. Bought the medium, leaves a very light tan color after blending. Blending is the key. Makes my legs and arms looked air brushed and slightly tanned, nice look. Did rub off in some areas but seems to wash out of clothing. Lasts through a shower but not sure about being in a pool for a while. Would purchase again.

(Will update w photos of use) A quick shout out to the packagers. Packaged so carefully, wrapped perfectly, and an extra layer that I appreciate SO MUCH: tamper proof seal around the entire can itself. —Haven’t used this since highschool when a more feminine fashionista friend introduced me to the world of, fashion, aesthetics, etc. she was also pale and freckled. Back then I loved it, it made my skin look even & smooth, DID NOT LOOK FAKE! BLEW MY MIND! it covered the discoloration that some very pale ppl experience (purple patterns of venules over the entire leg which comes and goes, major unavoidable tan lines, freckles, moles, dark spots, u name it) I only used it during significant outings back then. —Every now and again I would remember this product & think “i gotta get that again!” Then would forget again. lol I finally got it 20 yrs later. The color & pckg is a little diff but hey 2 decades yeesh. —Now that I’m older (38) & have some newer skin issues (severely dry) I’m not sure how this will pan out. When applied as directed (spray into hand then blend onto legs) the product is transparent. It reminded me of a self-tanner's guide tint. It's very orangey and it builds up over any rougher skin (also like self tanner). No coverage just a orange-tan tint. So I waited for it to dry (it dries so fast when used as directed I could barely blend it) and then attempted a second coat. It just rubbed off the first coat and gave weird streaky results. Then I tried spraying it directly from the can onto my leg (over the bathtub, it was a mess). That gave me full coverage but it was super orange-tan-- there's no possibility of me being able to wear it out that way. My legs wouldn't match my arms, face, neck. Furthermore, it's been 30 mins and it's still wet. It does dry down to a slighty less orange color, but still far too dark. I gave it two stars instead of one because the product sprayed well and there were no off putting fragrances or chemical smells. The product didn't irritate my skin. It washed off my hands easily with soap and warm water. If you have perfect skin on your legs and feet and just want a bit of a tan without committing to self tanner-- this is the product for you. Edit/Update: due to sudden illness that prevented me showering for appr 72 hrs after applying this, I want to give this product an extra star. It stays put! Even the stupid thick layer directly from the can. I had pristine white sheets on my bed and I was sweating, feverish, restless, kicking sheets on and off: but there was no sign of transfer at all. But when I did shower, soap and water took it right off. I'm beyond impressed. But it's still too dark and too transparent for my legs when used as directed.

SHADE: Fairest NOTE: If you get an orange result, you put too much on. A quarter sized amount covered each leg from 5 inches above the knee, lower leg and foot. I’m 5’7”. The key is blending. You’ve got to rub it in really well, just like applying lotion. Try to apply it outside in natural daylight, even if you’re planning to have it on for the night. As you can see from the photo, I didn’t get it quite even applying in my bathroom under artificial light. Even so, I think it looks great. I’ve had it on for 12 hours and it has not transferred to the inside of my black cotton yoga pants. That’s a good sign! It also hasn’t budged since I applied it. Give it 30 minutes to be sure it’s completely dry before getting dressed. It doesn’t take that long to dry, but just to be sure it doesn’t get on your clothes, especially if you’re wearing black. I’m White, with fair skin, of English, French, Spanish and Scottish ancestry. I’m not super duper White like my Scottish mother, who has Scottish/Irish coloring. The shade Fairest is perfect for me. If my mom was going to use it, she’d probably need one or two applications of self-tanner first. Another reviewer with “ghost white” skin (like my mom) said she got the best results from using b.tan Glow Your Own Way self tanner, then Airbrushed Legs. I’ve ordered that in the lightest shade, as well as the spray version of Airbrushed Legs. I’m trying everything out before a very important event, during which I will be wearing a black knee-length skirt suit and open-toed sandals. I can’t wear pantyhose with it and I feel like I need a little something to give my legs a flawless look, because it’s a business formal event. I will update this review and let you know which works the best. Other reviews emphasized not applying any other lotion before Airbrushed Legs, because the product will not adhere correctly to your skin and it will mess up the water resistance and transfer-proof aspects of the leg makeup.

I was a huge fan of the airbrushed version of this, but they stopped selling it. It was much lighter and had a bit of a sheen to it, it was gorgeous. I bought this since it was the only thing left on amazon. I actually use it all over my body - legs feet arms and chest, I basically use it as full color. It is VERY thick, but it seems like you need a lot of it when you are applying it. It isn't super easy to apply, you have to go over it a few times to distribute the color and not get streaks. There is little to no scent, so that is good. It is VERY orange. This would look good on someone who is already VERY tan, but I am light and this looks ridiculous on me if I don't apply it all over my body. Most importantly..IT GETS ON EVERYTHING. The desk that my computer is on that I am typing this on is white - and there is already orange tan ALL over it from my wrists. It ruined a white blanket of mine. It ruined the inside of a white skirt I wore, too. And, I leaned up against a white wall while I had it on, and it got ALL over the wall too. Seriously, it will get on everything (even if you are wearing white shoes and have it on your feet.) I didn't have this problem with airbrush. This gets on everything, so be aware - don't wear anything white or sit on anything white../ Other than that , I wish the airbrush version was still being made and the ones available were cheaper. It does the job but I wont be running to repurchase again. When the color is distributed, it does look good, and covers veins and makes everything look smooth
